Upgrades

Righty guys

as you may know im going on holiday in a few weeks...

im trying to get an upgrade in the hotel (im willing to pay... just not the amount they ask for it)

Now im trying... and they clearly have the rooms avaialbel as they are in talks with me... what do you reckon my chances are?

Surely ...in my head..it works as follows:

Its better for them to take a bit extra money (not the amount they want but a bit extra) to increase their revenue slightly.... this then frees up a cheaper room.. which is more likely to be booked as its cheaper

i understand that if they hold out they might get the full price for the upgraded room etc... but the hotel isnt full when we are going

so what do you reckon? (i will find out tomorrow)

I reckon your thinking along the right lines. They might not go for the price you've said but somewhere between. I think your in with a chance tho

make out your some one majorly important in your country and they are mega privileged to have u at there hotel, will be wrapped round your finger then

but on a serious note, the way id play it is, its my 1st holiday away with my GF, i want to make it as special as i can for her, is there anything u can do to help me out

thats the EXACT card ive played.

Ive managed to get them to reduce it once already.. but not enough.. so this is my final attempt... i wont be gutted if not as the room we have already is nice.. i just wanted to make it extra special for her and surprise her.
