Can I convert my front fogs to hids to make them like little spot lights? I basically want to convert them from fogs to wee powerful lights to give me as much light as possible (would not use wen other road users are about)

i believe so, use the search function and you'll find plenty of other members who've upgraded their headlights to HID's im sure theres some fogs in there too

F*CK IT, go all out man!

Get your twingo like this:

Already done it bud as Davey has put, if you remove the resonator on the passenger side makes things easier and gives you somewhere to mount the ballast, drivers side is a different story and a pain to get mounted, there are a couple of places but in the end i bolted it just behind the lower grill as that seemed the best place to have it if the bolt comes loose!

Quite a big difference over standard lights!

thing is, HID's take a while to warm up. So, you will be waiting for them to get to full brightness.

Just put nightbreakers in and adjust the aim up a bit.

I too have led fogs. Not quite as much light on the road and are definitely more of a looks thing than a spot lamp. I know high lumen led fogs exist but tbh hid would be the way forward for more light from the fogs

Defiantly going for hid fogs then when I'm finished making up my induction kit. I drive on allot of Scottish back roads and the extra light would be nice.

Don't take that long really Neil, usual time with HIDs around 5-6 seconds to full brightness

So about 150-160m at 60mph

i upgraded to osram nightbreaker fogs. really really bright compared to standard (also got led sidelights there) but wish i got HID's tbh. thinking of getting some blue fly eye film to put over them.
