Hello all, I've just bought a Twingo 133 and this is my first post here
I'm looking at adding USB (memory stick or ipod) playback to the standard Renault headunit. This topic seems to have been visited a lot, but I've not found any conclusive answers. It has a Radiostat Classic Bluetooth (which seems to be the standard headunit, as it was the same on all those I looked at).
Does Tunepoint fit? Is there a better solution?
All I want is to be able to put and ipod/generic mp3/memory stick in the glovebox and play back via the standard headunit, with track info on the display. Just to clarify, since there are several poor CD changer implmentations, I want full folder browsing (or in case of mp3 player, artist, album, track selection etc) functionality with no file/folder limits.
The alternative is to play back via my phone over bluetooth, but this will drain the already poor battery. Does this method display track info? Does it connect automatically on entering the car? Does it work via steering wheel/hu controls?
Any feedback or solutions would be appreciated. Ideally, I don't want to change the headunit, as aftermarket models rarely blend in well and I'd lose the bluetooth functionality.
