Just depends on where your getting your protein from that's my main issue with vegan..ism.

Wait vegan or vegetarian?

My other half is a veggie I'm wholeheartedly a meat eater.

My advice would be try the veggie route first. IF you can do no meat, no meat products etc etc for at least 6 moths then go vegan. Everything you currently eat WILL change nothing you eat now I doubt will fit a truly vegan diet.

Good luck tho :)

God I've become great at cooking veggie meals since Carrie is a freak. I mean veggie. If she tried to make me give up bacon I think I would cry!

She also gets red top milk which IMO is just as useful as water on my breakfast. So I make sure she gets at least green for me.

Vegan is not easy to do, and I can't see how some people keep it up.

If you do though, good luck!

Who you calling a freak maggi...little ****! Haha :p

Good luck mate, it's not easy being vegan but hopefully you'll get on ok with it.
I don't struggle to be a veggie at all, it's something I love and that I guess I'm proud of. Even though the better half eats meat I would never have a go at him over it. Everyone has their own reasons to be like this.

Let us know how you get on.

Amino acid supps and shakes?

That would just end up being really expensive.
and where does whey protein come from ? ;)

Dont you think there are other kinds of protein powers ;) you can get protein derived from peas, rice and eggs.

Pea based protein is meant to be a lot lighter on the stomach than whey.

Have fun :p if you find your losing some energy as some people do, try googling 'leangains' and use the methods on there to boost your energy :)

Good luck for you. I often cook veggie meals, but there's no way I'd go even veggie full time. I like meat too much. mmm might go get a bacon sarnie.

Vegan is a big step if you're going to go strict. You'll end up shopping in all the smaller supermarket sections which will limit your choice somewhat. If you go for a meal out you'll typically be further limited in selection too. Things with no dairy in at all are often much more difficult to come by. I personally feel it's much easier and much more easily varied to eat a non-restricted balanced diet. What are the supposed benefits you've been reading of?

I have Crohn, I need my meat.

If I'd go veggie only, I'd break my toilet.

Kinda like this movie:

Is this being driven by ideology, or dietry choice?

How can you enjoy a cholesterol level? :?

This should be quite easy to do I think:)
Your body will start craving for foods that include components that the body needs, so I think you have some hurdles to come. Good luck
