So i washed the car with SupaSnowFoam (this was so much LOLZ to do this  )
clayed it and waxed it with the meguairs NXT 2.0 wax ,now i was wondering when can i put a 2nd layer of wax on it ? (how many layers max ?) and how long(hours?) must i wait to layer it the 2nd time with wax and also wash it with a not to strong soap ... feedback is very welcome :D im still so noob at this :?

Well usually it's recommended 24 hours for a wax layer to 'cure'. Personally I'd do a coat then wash the car the following weekend and do another layer.

As for maximum layers I'd probably say around 3-4.
Some people seem to think that you just put on as many as possible but by all accounts once you get past 3-4 you're most likely just removing wax as you put on another layer.

Although by the time you've got round to
Applying the second of nzxt the first has probably worn off. It's a good wet look but lasts no time at all! Durability isn't normally a concern as everyone likes a good waxing session really, but it does take the biscuit

thanks for the heads up btw do you have any recommendations then about a more durable wax ? to top it on this layer ?

Loads. It's a shame as megs looks good and is easy to use. That price range there's a fair few. Collinite 845 is a standout.

so like this then glaze -> collinite 845 -> wax nxt ? can i use the same foam pad for all these things ?

New pad for each. Tbh id do 845 or nzxt

The solvents in both will just remove the other.

Yeah I'd give another vote for for 845. It's as easy to apply as most of the Meguiars liquid waxes. Apply it thin and don't let it bake on and it's easy enough to buff too.

Lasts an age too!

And dirt cheap.

I just bought Carrie a nice pot of Petes 53 which whilst it wont last quite as long it looks great, fool proof to use and comes in a nice pot. And smells nice. I paid £21 delivered brand new from roll up and shine. Its a fantastic budget wax but once you start it's easy to keep buying

Whenever I give the cars a proper detail, clay and machine polish, I cleanse the paintwork after polishing and apply two or three layers of sealant prior to waxing for bomb proof protection.

1st layer of Werkstatt Acrylic, 1hr later 2nd layer, 2 hr later 3rd layer.
Following day 1st layer wax
Following day (or after next wash) 2nd layer wax

Not happy with the werkstat? I like acrylic prime and prime strong but the jett wasnt to my taste and the qd really wasn't to my liking.

I always preferred a wax over prime.

I've ditched sealants now as I like waxing the car, I just don't really enjoy using the more synthetic materials, especially the nano and ceramic items. They work but where's the joy using them?

I bought caz Petes 53 recently as an Intro to paste waxes hoping to use it but she's not letting me at it  she likes that far too much!

The werkstatt is good for getting protection on FAST, when the weather is not at its kindest.
If I'd just clayed and polished the car and had no protection on it before the rain came I'd put it in the garage and get the bus to work til I'd sealed or waxed it.

I like the Raceglaze 55 I've got. Goes on well, comes off ok and leaves a great finish and beads like nobodies business.
My brother has a bottle of Werkstatt Acrylic Glos for me.

Dont you rate it Maggi?
I love Clearkote Quikshine but it seems you just cant get it anywhere anymore.

Agreed on the fast, although.... Since I haven't managed to detail Amy I simply used chemical guys v7 and thats beading nicely all on its own 4 weeks on.

I've never liked raceglaze for several reasons but I won't go into all of them on here ;)

I've spent £££££ thousands on products and trying what works and doesn't. All the nano and ceramic coatings etc. Then last year sold it all, and have gone back to the basics that I pretty much started with and nearly all of it is chemical guys, bar a couple of autosmart bulk products and meguiars polishes (105/205/metal)

And I have to say I've gone back to enjoying detail as a result. A nice basic paste wax that needs a top up is Infinitely more fun and entertaining that nano coatings.

I'm currently using chemical guys 50/50, a nice modest one I'm sure you've use, which I picked up for £24 and I bought Carrie Petes 53 for £21 delivered new ;)
Both for the reasons above excel and actually pretty durable with lovely beading. Also ditched the long lasting wheel sealants, for chem guys wheel guard. Gives me an excuse to top it up more often :p and it's lovely to use.

Wheels were off and clayed the other night so not like they're being treated any worse with the more 'basic' products. Which tbh it's more about technique than product.

When I say the wheels were off....
