Has anyone had there TWINGO Waxoyl'ed (underbody treatment), just wondering if it's worth doing as it looks like I'll be keeping the car for a long time.

I have done mine but I use Rustvito much thicker and better stuff , I don't even use my car during the autumn /winter months but still makes me feel better that it's not going to be rusty. It is worth doing tho.

how easy is it to do?

I used the ramps at my mates work , and just used a brush and pasted it on . Much better stuff then Waxoyl. Took a few hours , but am sure it's easy enough with a jack and two axle stands.

the hard part will be getting the underside clean and dry.

If it's clean, a sprayer is good, but it would sit ontop of any muck or dust which then peels off. Brushing on allows you to work it in, so cleanliness isn't quite as important... Dry and salt free or don't bother

Ok. I think this fits into my normal 'pay someone that's knows what they are doing' category. Worth doing though? How long does it normally last

One of the only things the French are good at is the fact that the cars don't rust. So providing it hasn't been crashed and the seem busted open I wouldnt worry.

Out of interest, is it entirely necessary on a modern car or this just more a peace of mind thing?

Fair play to you mate. I guess it's the same with many car things. I do many things with my cars that don't need doing as such but like it for peace of mind. :)
