Just to show the twingo has now twingone and I have picked up the 197 fall fat comfy edition.
I was looking for one for a while and oddly enough this turned up at my local dealership, done 34k, FSH etc etc. only negative no how its been looked after was the state of the alloys, curbed and corroded in places, but got money off for these, will get them refurb'd at some point (maybe white)
I have been in a few and decided on the full fat rather than a Cup mainly to save my spine and I wanted all the toys. I also wanted the standard seats as didn't find the Recaros partially comfy.
The only negative about the spec is it has the uprated Cabasse audio option, which means the headunit is under the drivers seat with all the wiring and the 6 disk changer is in the dash, meaning its not straight forward to swap it out.
How am I finding it....
Much nicer to drive in traffic, this isnt comparing like for like as my twingo was cupped. Lighter clutch / steering and not having your spine ripped out on every pot hole is a bonus.
On a blast out first thing that struck me was now much heavier it feels and the eleccy power steering feels a little distant from what the car is doing, I have got used to this. Then important thing is christ can it handle, just like the twingo, push your luck and you find yourself tripodding though a corner. It feels more settled than the twingo, more composed.
very difficult comparing the two, very little point, I would say the the RS197 is simply the RS133 slightly stodgier / more powerful / roomier / more hungry , big brother.
