Just removed the rear sliding seats from my 133 (They weigh a lot more than i expected)
Also took out spare wheel and tools.
For a 10 minute job, you really feel the difference! Corners feel better and acceleration seems improved. Also sounds a lot better! I guess the seats and tyre dampened the exhaust noise, but now it's free and it sounds great!
Surprised how easy it is to remove the sliding seats too.

Any other weight loss tips guys and gals? For the car...not me :) I don't want to go overboard, after looking around, the only obvious things were mats and parcel shelf. There isn't much lining in the rear anyhoo. Maybe the rear plastic arm rests and storage pockets.

Cigarette lighter :)

Just remember if you get a puncture out on the road the AA wont come for you if you dont have the factory fitted spare in the car. Its a risk you take.

I'd just tell them to prove there and then that my car came with a spare. They wouldn't be able to.

They will. They know what cars come with spares and what cars come with tyre repair kits so they will reject you. Its in the small print. Its the first question they ask if you phone up with a puncture.

Rear wiper and motor first mod i do to evercar ive had. motor usually ways a kilo at least. havent done it to the twingo though as im still paying for it lol

Indeed :)

i can imagine a lot of weight could be lost switching from cup 17s to 15s as well

Jesus thats really worth doing! They say evry kilo in unsprung is worth 3-4 times sprung weight.

How much do the cup wheels weigh and sport?

Cup wheels are heavy! Was surprised when I came to take them off the first time at how heavy they actually were, I expected less lol

8kg per wheel ... or more with OZ Ultraleggeras.
My Superturismo's WRC are quite a difference as well compared with the Renault 17" diamond cut alloys.

Well, rear wiper and motor must reamin unfortunatley. Need to keep rear window clean for rear CCTV :p
Going to put spare wheel back in for my run down to silverstone this weekend and will probably leave it in.
Still happy the back seats are out...whether it's placebo or not, the car feels better and sounds better. Feel more in control.

Does the aircon system weigh a lot? I have no use for aircon, non of my previous cars (except golf tsi) have had this and i never use it. Is it easy to take in and out? Would need it back in if i ever sold the car. Maybe not worth the hassle.

The complete aircon system weight is approx 15kg or maybe more but to remove it it's a bit of work, and you must change the belt and put a tensioner wheel also. I'll do it on mine as for trackday car it's purely stupid to have one but otherwise i would say leave it.
