Got the thought from reading 'what cars have you owned'

Interested in hearing some jobs people have had!

When i left school i started working at mcdonalds, worked there for 3 years
Now im a full time site joiner!

I havent had many jobs, but im sure some older members have!
 
Bath room fitter
Cinema workee
It technician
It engineer
Field service engineer
Service delivery engineer



The last two are fancy names for the third job
 
When I was at school I worked at Argos.

Now a senior auditor for a firm of accountants
 
Left college and I did peoples Online shopping @ tesco :cool:
Now Insurance advisor for a broker
 
Left school at 16 to start training in restaurants and just built my way up... Been a chef for 4 years now...
 
worked at sainsburys doing pretty much everything

now i work for dixons retail at home doing i.t support, iphone repairs, ipod repairs, business support and go out to places laying network cables, setting up servers etc.

boring but its a job not a hobby

Is there a 'seal' that breaks when you open the iphone? And is there a special way to open the iphone without breaking it?
Just a random question!

When i had problems with my iphone, one of the senior managers said that staff are specialy trained to open them without breaking a seal?
 
There's a dot which when you start moving bits you have to take off the battery iirc

It's really not hard to take one apart and put it together. Took me about 45 mins the first time I took mine apart and replaced the screen
 
Left school to do a 3 month get to work thing with Painter and Decorator. been there since 2007

Been with same Company since now a Apprentice Painter.

Just had Skills Test (final test tht you need to pass for Certificate) but i failed. so need to go redo it probly in September.
 
I must have replaced 10 parts in my first iphone 4 cause it just failed.. So easy! Parts are dirt cheap too

Just ended up giving up with a security error, i think because ide tampered so much

But they swapped in anyway!

I opened the second one because it too failed, but decided to ring apple, and they said what i asked just before! They did swap it, but i was just wondering
 
Done a paper round then worked in a chip shop whilst I was at school. Holidays between gcse's and a levels worked for 3 months at a private school as a groundsman with my dad. 5 months into a levels got offered an apprenticeship at the school and I'm now a fully qualified groundsman and been working there for 4 and a half years.
 
After school did gcse hairdressing for two years
Worked behind the bar at my mums pub for a few months to save for a lessons and then a car
Worked in a clothes shop for 2 years did some retail courses then became supervisor for 2 years
Moved onto my job now where iv been for 5 years this September. work at interflora hq in the admin/fraud/corporate team.
 
saturdays in the restaurant of my dads local golf club for six months
next shop assistant for 9 months
fabrics department in dunelm mill for a year and a half (all while in school/college)
race mechanic at motorbase performance (BTCC) for 4 months
barman for 10 months
now parts advisor for motorline renault, been there since april

nothing whilst at uni

now i am a 2d & 3d designer for a company that designs and rebrands banks worldwide

Im about to do my hnc in construction, i want to get to QS or architect!
 
Left school and got an electrical technician apprenticeship straight away fworking for pd ports where I got my full time served with nvq 2 and 3 my onc hnc and foundation degree and my first year of my last year of my degree ( part time) then recently moved to Ssi uk ( steel works) where I'm finishing my degree ad hopefully going into jr engineer position next year when finished :p

i occasionally worked in the joinery shop when i was younger and loved it,

my grandad used to be a pattern maker & joiner, he taught me alot when younger,
so huge respect
 
Worked at my parents restaurant growing up as a waiter.

Photo lab technician at Asda during A-Levels (wouldn't believe the dodgy photos I saw).

At uni, I worked at Apple as an Apple Specialist (the most amazing part time job ever!!!)

I graduated and left Apple to pursue a career in HR. Went into recruitment- coordinating Graduate Recruitment Campaigns at Santander. Went to do the same for Barclays and at Volkswagen Group UK.

Now work as a Human Resources Administrator for Carlsberg UK.

cabin crew
 
Started at 16 as an estimator for a drylining and internal fit out contractor. Now an estimator for an external facades contractor :D
