Well I had a set of wheels on order for the Twingo and it turns out the manufacter can't supply them and if I wait it's going to be at least 4-6 weeks!

So, what would people recommend as a nice set of aftermarket alloyws for the Gordini? I fancy something alternate and will be using them as winter rims anyway so they gotta look good.

Also, the company I've ordered from are Rochford Tyres and they've offered to do a special deal for the inconvenence.

So what do you reckon from the selection on - www.alloywheels.com

Calibre Vintage
With extra demon camber and sump scraping glory...because "if you aint hellaflush, you won't get the *******"

Oh I should stipulate, the car will be retaining the stock suspension haha.

As much as I'd love to have it on the desk, my days of scraping the sump are over! lol

Admitedly those Calibre Vintage rims are sweet but I'm not sure they'd look that good if the car isn't lowered.

You want some motorsport looking ones so either oz, team dynamics or speedlines in my opinion. Was gonna suggest White but if they are winter wheels then it wouldnt be a good idea

See that was my thinking and as much as OZ are lovely rims they are damned pricey. Where as I was looking at just over £800 for the rims and tyres, for the OZs in white, I'm look at £1,100 although I have asked what kind of price they can do them for.

The others are the Team Dynamics, I quite like these but I'm not sure about the centre caps.

In terms of them being white for winter, I'm not too fussed as I don't do a great deal of driving let alone in winter so they'll get washed inbetween only a few winters miles anyway. :)

Alex rather than go for the team dynamics monzas why not go for the pro race 1.2 much nicer looking wheel and lighter/stronger.

Thing is I don't intend on lowering and if I was going for 15" rims it'd need to be on a set of coilies really.

I quite fancy the OZ Superturismos but they a lot more wedge.

I like the Twingo as it rides at the moment. My Lupo was on KW coilovers and lowered about 60mm which was great in terms of looks but was sh!t to drive day to day. You think a Cup chassis'd Twingo is a firm ride?? lol

It's gotta be 17" rims that'll look smart without needing to be slammed. :)

Out of them... easy. None!!! You're going to ruin the car with any of them!!!

If I ever went for another set of rims ( and it would be a huge IF ) there would be only one choice team dynamics pro race 1.2 in gloss black. Lightweight and strong.

The wheels that are on the 182 trophy would look awesome but aren't they 16"?

Well a set of 17" Speedline Turnis with tyres are about £1,100.

I think I may have found a nice set of white rims that are a bit more pricey than the original ones I had in mind but should be far better quality.

As for Chaviness, I think it's dependent on how they look on the car. Bit garish, 'look at me' wheels that don't suit a car are chavvy. Personally, if I decent set of wheels suit a particular car I'm not going to be snobby just because it's the wrong brand.
