Looking to get some winter wheels to stick some snow tires on.
You may think I'm mad but I'm only after two wheels just to go on the front! It only snow for about a week so I don't see the point in splashing out on a full set!

I live down a lane which is a slight incline up to the main road. When it snows I've no chance of getting out! I had a BMW mini before with 17's on and that couldn't even get out of the drive!

So I've been emailing a Dave over at cases and he has agreed to sell me just two of their 15" Eros at ET30.
Not familiar with the fitments for the Twingo but will they fit? Mines a 133 Cup.

Cheers all :D

Why did he recomend ET30? That's going to be 25mm further out than standard unless your dropping the width of the rim a lot to compensate.

Theres also a good school of thought that you should always put the best tyres on the rear, so you don't spin off backwards into a ditch. Having a compound which contains more natural rubber, winter "snow" tyres generaly grip better than all season tyres below 7 degrees.

For 15's, ET43 up to ET38 would probably be best. (my 7x15 speedlines are ET43 and nicely clear the caliper)

I just asked what ET they were and they replied with 30? I'll double check.

I understand what you mean about best grip on the back (that's why I don't rotate my tyres) but you're not going to get moving if you've got no grip on the front

All I need them for is just to drag me up the lane and up a few hills too and from work.

So what offset are standard Cup wheels then?

Cheers pal.

These are 15" x 6.5" at ET30.
They'll stick out 19mm more and give 30mm more clearance inside. Not worried about the extra poke just a little concerned the extra inner clearance will put stress on the hubs.
What do you think?

It's not just about the poke... Offset influences a lot of the steering and handling, besides the looks

A friend had some for last winter. Being as he is a self employed plumber, getting out for callouts withoug getting stuck is quite important for him.

Or get a second steel wheel to match the spare, which is 6.5x15 ET43 (if I remember correctly).

Aaaah, very cunning indeed sir. Didn't think about that one.
