hey wind owners!,

just wondering if you guys have come across a specific induction or RAM air kit for your winds?

with them having the same engine as the twingo thought id ask and find out.

hopefully someone has so i dont have to kind of have a DIY kit

cheers guys/girls

you're talking about a Oval Trumpet Box

or Carbon Dynamic Airbox?

Either these or a k&n style kit, are they a good fit for the wind and the twingo? i was considering a DIY job but these could look good esp if i can get the RAM pipe sitting on the bumper/bonnet or somewhere like that

any idea of price or a good source?

I know the CDA from BMC fits the RS/1.6 Wind. I think yotah has the one from K&N in his RS.

Don't have any feedback how it is.

I have the 1.2 though but I asked if they could fit the CDA in the 1.2 and it does with the help of some costum tubbing.

I think the price was about 150€

They do recommend when you place something like this that you do a remap of the car.

If your going to do other mods would go with the CDA 85/150 instead of the 70/130, as I feel the 70/130 may start limitting things at maximum revs, where the engine is sucking it's hardest.

Alternatvely the Espace V6 round airbox would fit and has a 100mm imlet which you could have pointing down, away from the battery tray. The 172 Ph1 airbox is the same size but has two inlets which wouldn't lend themselves to pointing downwards, hence butchering it and gong completely DIY.

Got a question for you though.

would it be worth it to put a CDA in my car? I've been thinking of ordering one, together with some costum tubes and make it fit in the 1.2.

I'm just a sucker for these things as they look and sound awesome..

Haven't checked under the hood but I think it should fit in the engine bay.

I think somebody has a 70/150 CDA on a 1.2TCE Twingo, but I can't remember who.

I'd love to experiment and try this myself (like kinda you did with yours).

so the 70/150 CDA from the Twingo RS?

I can order a CDA through Shiftech or BR Performance all I need to know is where to buy the rubber tubing, Ebay?
Also, the airintake goes over the engine so I'm thinking some kind of heatshield wrapping around that part..

i finally sussed mine after speaking to fast eddy performance and got an enclosed carbon fibre intake system ( VERY LOUD) the 133's definately have some suction!! pics on the engine, exhaust and induction threads!

Sorry made a typo earlier, I meant the 70/130 as that is the smaller universal CDA. (I'm not sure if they even make a 70/150)

they had a long version and a short version i was advised with the short ones with the engine bay being rather craped and compressed,

im impressed so far the noise and the responsiveness is impressive, ill be going back to the same bloke for a custom exhaust,

if we could get enough people interested in seeing and using him i could ask if he could offer us some serious discounts how many people would be interested?

theres potentialy three manufacturers going to be doing manifold systems for the 133 soon.

Yotahs friend , but details still to be decided
Magnex could be doing Ollies exhaust and manifold
K-tec are finalising a manifold and sports cat/decat, which is due testing soon.

Supersprint and K-tec have a catcback system now

Called today to settuning and said they have closed induction kits from Sparco? didn't knew they had that. I'll stop by later this week to go and order one and he could provide costum pipes for fitting as well.
