Changed it when I started hearing the noise plus the garage must have with the new clutch so twice in a few weeks.

Only thing to add is clutch has a judder on the bite point but just bedding in? The noise is most noticeable in the higher gears 3rd to 5th.

No the noise is a prominent as ever I examined the parts they took off the bearing was rough but couldn't have accounted for the noise I don't think still a bit of meat on the clutch housing looked normal???

Cars ready to be picked up and the garage has said the diff in the gearbox is ****** so the car is a write off in my eyes. Anyone got an input into how likely this is or have the garage buggered something up? I'm clutching at straws here I know.

I'd like to think I could do it given the time but thinking and doing are two different things.

My working out of it are £697 - 167 = 530 ÷9 = 58 an hour labour. There an independent was always impressed with how cheaply they've got my misses car through its mot, maybe my breast aren't large enough. Rarely deal with garages tbh.

He said the clutch kit was 167? Including slave didn't ask if that was inclusive of vat. The quote is with vat.

It's gone in to my local garage this morning they've quoted 9hrs plus parts at £697 that's including the slave cylinder. To say I'm gutted is an understatement. Let's hope it soldier's on to 200k because that's how long I'll be keeping it now.
