    Test Driven a 133 Cup

Really? Now I have doubt wether my Twingo RS is the Cup version. It has a bench seat (to bad I liked the idea of 4 seats) and 17" wheels (good thing, I really love the looks of it). The dealer said it was a "standard" Twingo RS with air-con, panoramic roof and 17" Cup wheels as option. But it is...

Request for a sticky? Engine specs, the good and the bad

Isn't that a bit of the same (although slightly less) for the latest Clio and Twingo RS?

Request for a sticky? Engine specs, the good and the bad

Probably and potentially, yes! But that isn't going to be reliable road car! I am involved in Rallycross very much and because I used to have a Sierra RS Cosworth I still have friends that have hugely powerful ones. But how good the engine might be, is is not just putting a big turbo on! Take...

Request for a sticky? Engine specs, the good and the bad

It's all about the price I guess... With 100 bhp per liter it would have been more expensive, indeed stirring in the Clio range, but on the other hand: I like the low weight of the Twingo, I'd rather have this with a Clio engine than the Clio itself. The weight of the Clio could be nicer with...

Request for a sticky? Engine specs, the good and the bad

That is indeed amazing... More as a 2.8 VR6 in that time! Kind of strange that Renault now offers a reliable 100 bhp per liter with their Clio while the Twingo needs an awful lot of work to reach that...

Request for a sticky? Engine specs, the good and the bad

Engine at Sodemo cost 52.000 euro (according to someone who has one), can run up to 10.000 rpm and delivers over 230 bhp... That's almost 100 bhp more than a K4M RS engine! Amazing! You still need the sequential gearbox as this has the smallest rpm drop partly due to the fastest shifting gearbox.

    supercharger.?

Back on-topic: For those seeking lower compression pistons: Wiseco like Wossner has 12.7:1 pistons for K4M N/A aspirations but Wiseco delivers custom pistons as well, so if you are looking into a different compression ratio...

This one says 195/50 R16: https://www.setpromotion.com/trade/index.php?c=renaultsport But indeed we are going off-topic... What was the topic again? Ah right: Supercharger!

Same as (overall!) diameter as Twingo R2: 195/50 R16 = 60,1 cm (standard Twingo RS is 195/45 R16 = 58,1 cm or 195/40 R17 = 58,7 cm). Yes 205/45 R17 is bigger at 61,6 cm and 195/45 R17 would be better at 60,7 but are very rare. Somehow I prefer the standard norm of writing sizes better in...

BMC panel airfilter on stock between Dover and Birmingham?

A few mates of my are going to Birmingham this weekend to buy some parts for their fast Fords. I said, well bring me a BMC panel airfilter then, they said sure, give us an address that have these in stock... Uhm, any suggestion which could have these BMC panel airfilters on stock?

For those seeking a turbocharger conversion could perhaps have a go at DP Engineering https://www.dp-engineering.nl/, they do a lot of french cars (primarily PSA, but can do others), from mild to wild! On the pages there are 1.6 16V's between 175 bhp and 330 bhp... Personally if I was going to...

    supercharger.?

I think a supercharger would be great fun, especially one with the same horsepower as the Mini Cooper Works GP... Would be easier on a FWD too... You could ask what the TMR200 cost, I don't think it won't be cheap, but gives you reliable 210 horses based on the 197/200... The older Renault...

    supercharger.?

Is 13 for Super 1600 spec? You have to run it on RON 100 the least? 10 would be nice for a small supercharger or very small turbo (but actually a bit high). 8 would be for serious turbo. You would say 12 would be better for serious N/A tuning for road tuning and 9 would be ideal for a decent...

    supercharger.?

Nice if your only into donuts and burnouts... But from all the cars I've owned (FWD, RWD, AWD, mid engined, standard, modified) the Twingo RS has the best handling, straight out of the box!

Still 8:1 is very low for modern engines, you would be looking at serious boost levels and extreme power to need this on a street car, I think 9:1 or 9.5:1 would suit better.

    supercharger.?

That is a very low compression rate for a 40 bhp gain... Conrods should be possible to buy custom made? Or at least Super 1600 items? Won't be cheap though!
