Booked my Twingo Freeway in for its first service today using the online booking facility on RUK's website.
Anyone with the 1.2 know what to look out for/expect in the cars first service? Website told me it'd cost £213.00!

That sounds fairly hefty, though I remember the "official" price for my old Clio's first was about 170, and that was back in '07. Think I got it a chunk cheaper, but had to ask around a bit

What!! £213 is crazy my local Renault garage only charged my mum £165 for the RS 250's first service and they said mine will b about £115!!! Dnt pay too much shop around definately

Well this will be at my main Renault dealer. Plus I want my third year free breakdown cover, and in the unlikely event anything should be wrong it can be done under warranty lol. These are the things that will apparently be done:

Environmental Charge: £4.74
Labour: £134.93
OIL FILTER C2 £8.52
PARTICLE FILTER £18.05
RN 0700 10W-40 SEMI-SYNTH £47.18
SEALING WASHER £0.36
Parts total price: £74.11
Total Cost: £213.78

Do these jobs/requirements sound about right for an 18 month old car? As you can see most of the cost is labour!

Might order one of those off Karl and supply it myself haha. Does the kit have everything that's listed (Oil filter/particle filter/RN 0700 10W-40 Semi Synth stuff?)

It quoted me £162 for a 12k service the other day and it was actually £139
See when I bought mine I was told it was 18,000 miles or 2 years, whichever is first (and thats what the book says as well), but there was no option for that on the Renault website booking thing, so I just said "12 month service", since it is technically its first.

So watford have lemme down. After the service being great so far the first service coming up they quoted £209 which doesn't seem unreasonable for a 133 but not sure what others paid. The thing that got me was I asked about the issues with cold starts in the morning and kangarooing. It's not an issue with the 133 and it's specifically my car and I'll need to book it in for 2 days for it. Apparently

So looks like I'll be visiting Karl soon

Mines at a main Renault dealer too, but if you want to keep ur 3rd year breakdown cover u have to go wheres best for you but maybe ask other Renault garages if u can

My 1st service was £245 :( never been back to have it serviced there since

i dont know for twingo but when had clio, the service costs differed so much between differnt renault garages. its worth trying a couple then u still keep warrenty and will find a good deal.

If I was in a city where there were a few dealers close by I would probably be more inclined to shop around but the dealer I take it is a 5 minute walk from my house and really convenient and accessible, the next nearest are 30+ miles away, which isn't very handy when I have work during the week.
They have a great team and are all a friendly bunch but yeah I agree that service quotation is probably a bit on the steep side, although I just thought it was average!

yer i suppose i forget that living in london there is tons of renault garages. i got 3 with in 15 miles of me

Our garage uses rapid quote to get price when customers ask so tells reception parts required and price and labour times so if other garages use same system only difference in price should be hourly rate i would of thought.
