Seen this a couple of days ago on Facebook (they share the remaps they do)

It actually got re-mapped to the bhp it should have.

Think most of you should consider a remap to see if this is something frequent.

There have been some that posted low figures in the past. Mine did around 133.5 consistently without being mapped

A friend with clio gt ( the same engine with our twingos :D ) has remmaped his car. Before the horse power was 133,6 ps and after 147,1. Also I have to say that the car is totaly OEM (not even a panel) :)

That's a hell of a jump up in bhp after a mapping. Has he had it tested on a different rolling road? Any chance of a graph?

I thought they sold the clio gt at a slightly lower standard power .. 128bhp or something like that, wonder what the difference is, interesting that it did 133

My RS was at 125 bhp when dynoed, but honestly, in August with hot humid air, not the perfect conditions.
After remap, it got to 140 bhp, and had K&N induction + stainless steel catback exhaust.

Will be remappaed again when the manifold, cams and plugs, and V6 airbox will be fitted this summer.

After I remapped mine I've had a BMC panel filter, stainless steel final damper and next week I'm getting a costum stainless steel line between the final damper and cat done.

Should I do a remap with all these new parts or wont it make much difference?

Although I've asked shiftech, they said it's not really necessary unless you do a sport cat and manifold.

My friend purchased the 133 Cup when it originally came out and his was only running 109BHP from the factory... unlucky!

There did seem to be a few that where really quite low in the early days. Thats why I got mine on the rollers straight away.

This thread is confusing!

Some talking about the 133 and some on about 1.2 turbos!

but your chatting about the mighty 133, or in your mates case, slightly less mighty.

I would be well pissed if it was that low. + or - 10% would be fine.

I had the same with my Alfa 156 JTS, ment to be 165bhp, mine did 140-145 consistantly as standard, managed to get up to 156bhp after full straight though exhaust remap etc etc. Some were worse of one person I know with the same car only manages low 120's.... refused the car and took it back to Alfa

They shouldn't be able to sell the car without it making exactly what they say it should make! The friend I was talking about with the 109BHP Twingo Cup actually has a Clio 197 now... which is running at something like 176BHP... are renault just generally crap at making consistent powerful engines?

Iv have 146 on my twingo with just filter and exhust but with only one rolling road day and booking a second rolling road for next week hopfully at a different place to get the average read out from both

You get it both ways mate. I had a meg 1.9dci 130 that was putting out 150bhp and +50lbs as standard

Wish mine was abnormally powerful as standard lol

Have you had it rolling roaded? you never know, could be one million BHP with a trillion LBS...

...doubt it though
