Obviously rolling road stats are always open to debate, but thats one hell of a hike. Has he had it tested else where, not just the place that did the mapping?

I would be intrigued to know mine one day but whilst I can keep up with 182s I'm really not that fussed!

As I know he doesen't test it anywere else, but he said that it is much better on the road! :D

Just thought I would add my rr print out

I believe it was at the wheels but il have a look

I think you'll find it has been corrected to flywheel. I'd like to see the bottom scale as well, as the power and torque lines seem to cross very early.

May well be flywheel I'm going to amd who did the rr and asking them to verify it thanks but it's still good if it flywheel tho that's would make it 135 at wheels well there abouts

Well spotted.

On a standard graph for a petrol engine, when the bhp and torque are plotted on the same scales, the power/torque lines always cross over at 5252rpm.

Interesting fact that. ;)

That would mean about 160 bhp at the flywheel...

My RS was at 125 bhp when dynoed, but honestly, in August with hot humid air, not the perfect conditions.

That really can make a massive difference.

I had my old Lupo Sport on the rollers and it made 117bhp on an early fresh morning.

Only made 110bhp on a warm day with a hot engine bay having been running in the run.

Cant quite easily see how on a cold morning that 125bhp could be over the 130bhp mark.

The power figures on a lot of RenaultSport normally aspirated engines seems to vary a lot. I mean the Clio 172/182 could pull anywhere in the region of 160bhp+. The turbo charged engines seem to be a bit more consisten.

How about a rolling road day down at somewhere like Surrey Rolling road to see how they average out?

I think it depends to what rolling road you're going.

The best one I've seen so far is the one from BR-Performance. Has a huge fan that blows enough circulated air into the engine and isn't affected by outside weather.

Surrey rolling road is much the same, bit fan and indoors but the ambient temperature would still have an effect unless it was a totally air conditioned building.

Realistically you either need to have a number of 133s all run on the same dyno or run your own car before and after on the same rollers to give you an idea of the gains if you're tuning it.

Well most rolling roads I've seen are like a garage box (thats left open).

The one at BR-P is inside, in another confined garage.

Went there with a friend and was impressed with the results he got with his Seat Ibiza diesel that I almost considered having it remapped there.

the crossing point will depent on the units used for measuring the power and the torque

with BHP and foot pounds of torque, it will be 5252 and the left/right scales will mormaly be the same, so 0-150 bhp and 0-150 ftlb

Aah I'm with you. Surrey Rolling road has shutters on the front so it's closed when they do the dyno runs but the outside temperature still has an effect on the temps inside.
