Bonjour my fellow twingers!

Got me a lovely 97' g.t which I adore.

She has no serious mods at the mo, although it will be dropping 30-40mm this month & maybe have a bit of K&N in her........

I love the Japanese mod's (Fast & furious 1 but no further  !) so into stickers, crazy bits of kit, mad colours & all that jazz (I know a lot of tuners over here HATE it but each to their own) so that's the general plan for the car.

Oh, for any of you guys who like underground house & techno check out my website www.tommanford.co.uk

That's about it, look forward to modding with y'aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal! :D

Welcome along, I like mad colours and wings, and I'm a bit fussy when it comes to body kits :p they've gotta suit the car. Definitly intrigued as to where you go with this :)
ps. I also have a bit of a sticker fetish hahaha

Welcome to the madhouse, the bigger the stickers the better.

Agreed. Body kits defo fussy about and yea the bigger the better with stickers!

Useless wings are for penguins :p

Ok, so current plans are:

Lower car 30mm/40mm on spax springs
Fit K&N induction Kit
Maybe throw on a dump valve just for fun!
Price up interior flocking
STICKERS STICKERS STICKERS! hahaha!

I've had a look through the boards & seems most people go for a different induction kit but as mines a GT I figured I may need a slightly different one to you 133 dudes.

Dump valve - heard forge is a good one to go for, any other links/advise?

Flocking - like I said, pricing at the mo - I work round next door to CLB valeting so they can get me a good price for it.

That's about it at the mo!

As for induction, Ash331 replaced his panel with a ktec panel filter and is certainly happy with it (he would be as he got me to fit it and like a mug I did :p ) and that's one of the better routes IMO owing to the layout and space available on top of the engine. Moving shadow has probably done the most messing I know of with induction kits and should know what does and doesn't fit

I don't like the K&N induction kit on the GT engine.

I've seen it on a Wind GT and the filter sits right above the engine. Okay, there is a cold air feed going to it but the filter should be lengthened and sit a little closer to the front and maybe add a heat shield.

Do you recommend another one>??
I don't just want the panel because I want the grunt when you put your foot down, but at the same time it's only a 1.2 at the end of the day do not looking to spend a bomb on it!

Yes it's still a 1.2 but I had someone from the forum (Joe I think, he was still very drunk) sitting next to me on the parade lap and he was confused when all of a sudden he said, "Wait, this is the 1.2 TCE?? It goes like stink"

Mission accomplished :D

Hahaha, i have a few mates who for months thought it was a 1.6 and when i told em it was a 1.2 they were shocked!!! Is there an alternative to the k&n you would reccomend?

Looks good mate... ive got in my head that the filter would sit more central but maybe i just imagined it!!

I had the pipe bent that side to stop the heat soak and ran the cold air feed from the old air pipe

All booked in & ready for lowering! Should be done on thurs so i'l try & get some before / after pics up for you over the wknd.
