Billburry is alkali, not acid! Certainly not PH neutral ;)

Whatever wheels I get in I always go with

Wash with wheel woolies, swissvax/envy brushes and sour power. This is enough for 90% of wheels tbh
Very cherry comes out at 1:5 if anything stronger is needed.
After that it's tardis followed by iron x to pick up any more contaminents that might be left
Then it's out with the clay for anything else that really isn't shifting.

Not come across a set of wheels I can't do and only very few ever need to go as far as claying.

U all saying about clay but don't really know what it is :S could someone briefly explain and suggest a product please

You'll need a clay bar and a lubricant. Easiest way is pop to Halfords or Euro Car Parts and pick up the Meguiars clay kit.

With a clean wheel and some warm clay (from the kit) you spray the quick detailer onto the surface and rub backwards and forwards, ensuring the surface is always lubricated to reduce risk of marring the paint. With enough pressure, the contaminants should come off. As long as the surface is always wet it shouldn't damage it. Remember, clay isn't an abrasive so it won't take your paint off :)

It is literally clay, which is specially designed for removing contaminants from paintwork. It's fairly straight forward to use, you just get some decent quality clay and clay lubricant and then spray the lubricant on to the surface, then gently rub the clay over the lubricated surface. I sell Dodo Juice Supernatural Clay and Dodo Juice Born Slippy clay lubricant, which are both excellent products :)

Lol, if it helps then I can obviously do you a good deal, especially as you're such a good customer :)

I have just had a look and I also have Dodo Juice Basics of Bling clay in stock, which is cheaper than Supernatural and would be perfectly good enough for doing the wheels. Supernatural clay is better for doing paintwork and is actually good value for money, as you get more in a packet. It's just a bit more expensive initially.

The ironic thing is that I'm explaining it as though the Dodo Juice clay products are expensive but in actual fact, they're actually the same price, if not cheaper than Matt's suggestion of going to Halfrauds and buying inferior Meg's products.

Sorry but I don't agree with some of the advice above ;)

No pressure should be needed to lift any contaminents from the paintwork. The clay should litterally gluide over the paintwork. This is safe, applying pressure will cause marring and increase the risk of inflicting scratches.

Agreed. When claying, pressure = marring and possibly even scratches.

I use zaino clay (sorry dude :p) myself, which is very mild. Never really needed to use anything more. Especially after wolfs brake buster/iron x

AG tar remover won't be as effective as Tardis or Dodo Juice Tarmalade.
