am i stupid

[Swiftysport]

as i said i have a swift sport but i really dont like it...ive had it in bits that much that my mind is saying its going to break and its squeeking and rattling loose...
i really like the 133s but the gf is saying i will be stupid to get one as i will miss the swift and the interior quality.

can people tell me what they dont like about their 133s and reasons why or not to get one thanks
plus is the cup chassis really bone shaking?

I have a 1.2 but I know out of the swift sport and twingo I'd rather have the 133, having sat in the swifts I like the interior in terms of quality but it's boring nothing really stands out as being overally original from any other car tbh, the seats I sat in we're not as bolstered as the 133 I was in at silverstone either. Also I believe the twingo handles a lot better than the swift in the corners with less body roll (magazine write ups) never been in both to drive, also I see a million swift sports down were I live and only a handful of twingos u really get exclusitivety with them and they certainly turn heads!
But go with what u feel if uve spent all tht money on your swift don't get rid if your not 100% sure

cheers people.....yer i have spent alot of money on the swift so if i got the twingo i would probably just get a panel filter and maybe a backbox and leave it....i find you get problems if you start messing with things....
im located near preston in lancashire...would be great to meet up with a local member with a 133 cup

Definately c if u can meet up with someone and they could take u for a drive etc. I'm not fiddling with my engine at all now cos I worry stuff will go wrong but the 133 is good enough to b left alone tbh

The seats are far superior in the 133 but the rest of the interior is slightly better in the swift IMO

If you were closer I would offer you a ride

Maybe worth trying to attend a meet

i havent had my twingo long and the swift was in the running too. when i test drove both there is good and bad points for both so u can make your mind up.

swift definatly looks more grown up
twingo looks more fun
swift has twin tailpipes
twingo has better seats and nicer wheels (if cup)
twingo alot rarer, (seens loads of swift sports, still only seen one twingo 133 on the road)
twingo 133 especially with cup has a more track feel

and then when i drove them both, the swift goes as quick as the twingo but twingo feels so much more planted. twingo also puts a bloody great smile on face when drive becasue it is funky

i have test drove a standard 133 at my local renault garage a few weeks ago but had the gf in the car constantly going look how plasticy it is and look how there is no engine temp gauge and no mpg display blah blah which put me off, but there was just something about how it drove which i loved...loved the feel of the wheel and the seats also...

what if anything is a must have modification or is it perfect standard also what colour should i get ha

Tbh we don't tend to modify our cars that much! Most are near standard. I fell in love with mine and don't want to change that character

I've gone from a BMW diesel which had been mapped to 184 bhp and 400 nm of torque which I speced with leather and a few bits from new. Even the BMW didn't have a temp gauge lots of new cars don't come with them nowadays.
Yes the inside of the twingo is a bit cheaper than most, who cares not me. Given the seats are really great the dash lay out is funky and practical it just works. Trying to work out mpg, count the miles to the fuel you put in after that who cares.
Now this is the twingo trump card. The fun factor no car I've owned/driven for a long time gives so many smiles per gallon. Everything about the car is cheap and low budget shouldn't work, but it's so much fun.
I'm the Stockport area with a full fat 133 with added cup if need be.

I've got the bare bones cup and I don't find it's spine shaking. It's very firm but doesn't crash about. Having said that I had a Golf before which was slammed and had big 19's wrapped in stretch so if you hit a pothole you knew about it! The 133 is supple in comparison.
Going from an R32 is quite an odd step. A few mates thought I was mad going for something slower and cheaper but in all honesty I get far more kicks out of driving it than the Golf.
When you nail a good corner you come out the other side grinning like a kid!
I've seen your swift and think it's mint. I do know the feeling though when you're bored and want to get rid.
It's your call mate. If you can get a good deal I'd go for it. I think you've already made your mind up though.....I think you'll be in a 133 before Christmas.
Go for the FF Cup if you're worried about it being sparse compared to the swift. I actually like not having A/C in the Cup. Makes me feel as though I'm in a more focused car.
Plus if you're only planning a few mods just think how much money you'll save?
Strip the Swift, sell you mods and buy a rarer Twingo.....

cheers pal good advice there...im going for another drive in one sunday so ill keep in touch....and if i got one it would be the cup anyway i never use aircon. also my coils on the swift will be far firmer than the cup chassis i can just tell so that shouldnt bother me

I'd go for the standard with Cup chassis - gives you the best of both worlds. All the toys plus the handling.
