If you can get refills, then nitrous would be the easiest option for a drag conversion. I think I worked it out around £1500 for a high speced wet kit with 4 port direct injection, variable controler, heater blanket and shutoff valves etc. Jet it for +50 and you would be beating me for a fraction of the price.

I seriously looked into it for mine, but a reliable supply was the sticking point for me

I was discussing this with my step dad last night, as he currently has a +50 jet in his TVR Chimeara (which he could be selling soon) so the nitrous kit will be off that and may find its way onto a Twingo ;)

I'd love nos but was put off as few ppl told be about how they knew of cars engines that were destroyed because of the stuff. But yeah 1500 would get u a awesome set up. Will read up on it more to find out bout reliability cause was always put off.

Yes, theres certainly been a few engines melted or bent by poorly setup systems.

If you set it up perfectly on a cold day, then come summer time, the bottle pressure could be higher which would supply more nitrous, leading to a the engine running leaner - Meltdown

If your fuel pressure drops and isn't detected.

If you run the bottle down to the last dregs and feed gas instead of liquid, that won't cool the charge as much.

Running a standard sparkplug rather than one a step or two cooler could cause detonation when the plug gets too hot.

Adding a shot in a single unregulated hit puts a large strain on the bottom end and drive train if the engine revs are low.

All the above problems can be worked out by specing a decent system with a progresive controller to feed in the shot smoothly when its safe to do so (fuel/bottle pressure as set, gear selection and engine speed ok) , pressure sensors to detect fuel and bottle pressures. A bottle heater to keep the bottle warmed to ideal operating temp which saves running lean in summer and overly rich in winter

As a starting point, I was looking at this kit, then adding a V2 controller and the switches etc
