Also the other thing I was thinking was about hard cornering. I mean for example, if you see pictures of cars taking corners hard, the rims virtually look like they're touching the tarmac anyway as the wheel leans that hard onto the corner. ! I think a major recall by RS would be in order if that was the case! The rim doesn't come anywhere near the road (assuming the tyres are correctly inflated) and if you're getting it close then your speed it quite frankly scary. At tracks I've had my rim 1 inch or so off the road with hard leaning, but that was running at 25-30% less PSi than road recommendations.
Ive also noticed that the rim sits on the tyre when going up kerbs so it doesnt touch the floor as the tyre is in the way. (Noticed when reversing on the drive)
