Being as it was lashing down yesterday morning, I thought the 800 miles worth of bugs would be easy to remove after an overnight soaking, so I filled a bucket and got a little bit soggy myself

Question is did it work?

Almost worked... The bugs and blood splats came off a treat, however I missed a few patches of grime on the drivers side. Much easier than trying to scrub the little blighters off once they have had a days baking in the sun.

The weather is supposed to be absolutely atrocious at the start of next week. The reminance of Hurricane Catya is travelling towards us across the Atlantic - according to the news, we could have the worst storm in 15 years. Sounds exciting to me - I suppose we'll see if that is true or not. No good for detailing, though!

I think it depends more where you are. South East is meant to be breezy 15-20mph but up north, Scotland and Ireland are apparently expected to get 60mph winds!!!!

I wouldn't go out in that let alone detail haha

But I bet it would look a hundred times better, even if it got taken through the Polish car wash for a fiber!!

As said don't give a monkeys I bought the car to drive not to wash got better things to do than spend 4 hours cleaning something that will only get dirty straight away.

Kind of missing the point of detailing though, it's not just about cleaning.

For example a waxed car is easier to clean as the dirt doesn't stick to it. Only need to wax once every few months. I can wash my Twingo inside and out within about 90 minutes. I wouldn't expect everyone to put in the same level of detail as some on here do, me included, but never bothering to have a clean car seems a shame.

Also as for getting dirty again straight away, the same could be said of personal hygene and housework! lol

+1. :p But even I take it to the Poles once a month! Plus mine is silver so you get away with it a bit with that colour ;)

I've still not washed mine since before trax. So that 600'miles plus a track session and nearly a month. Some of you detailing boys would cry if you saw the state of it lol.

It didn't look that bad at trax!
It's looking a lot worse now dead flys along the front. Since I've had no back seats in it's been used like a mini van.

Haha. One of the reasons I won't take mine out, it's an excuse to put big sh!t in there when there is room lol
