I had some boy racer in his fully body kitted clio with a dustbin lid on the back following me. We had a little race within the speed limits ;) Lucky I know all the roads around me and what speed to go round them before the understeer kicks and I destroyed him now I laugh everytime I see him. We were both in 1.2's

wait wut? I just read this.. I have no problems taking my 1.2 to over 190km/h (never tried the maximum but on paper it says 190 but it can do more).
 
Isn't yours the 1.2 TCE in the wind though? Think Sam has the 1.2 without turbo in the twingo. Need to get the GT to have the 1.2 TCE IIRC

Just checked parkers and they are bad, not as bad as topgear made out but def not good.

I know what you mean. While ago in the summer I was on a very twisty part of the freeway and a Golf (slightly tuned, doubt it was a GTI though) past me by thrashing it and a huge turn came up (basically makes a 180° turn) and passed him by on the inside of the corner.. love it.

Traction control jumped in twice too
