I'm detailing my mates A3 and he's got chewing gum on the drivers seat. Looks like it's been there for a while. I've tried apc, vanish and meguiars interior clean, won't come off. Any ideas?

get a bag of ice !!!!! put it on it and it will harden it up then scrape it off :)
but keep it on it untill it is reaily cold.

Ive heard this works but never tryed it myself.

it didnt work :( got it off though. i got a knife and scraped it off carefully. very carefully infact

If ice cubes aren't avaliable, the canned air dusters, for blowing dust out of computers etc can be used to freeze small areas. Turn it upside down and the gas/liquid is rather cold.

Na, cloth seats. Bottom spec model I think. Still nice though but only 1.4

i though mine was the lowest spec being a 1.6

but mine has alot of extras when car was made as i keep noticing. when i got it they said it was a 1.6 Sport

Or use pipe freezing spray from a plumbers shop or section of your local DIY shed.
Freezing it is the recommend tip amongst the detailing set.

Yeah I can back that up, I used to mess about with these at work. Managed to freeze half a cup of water with the can upside down and the nozzle in the cup.
