Good evening Twingo folk! :D

I joined up the site a couple of days back, as I'm currently looking at buying a Twingo to use as an everyday car.

After getting home this afternoon, I decided to give my 172 cup a well deserved clean; it hadn't been done since just before FCS, so it had a lovely layer of dust/dirt making it look dull and tired.

I thought I'd put the photos up on here too, for anyone that's interested to have a look.

I often forget how nice iceberg can look with a bit of work. Happy with the photos too actually. :p

Notice the fail on the wheel pictures; I put tyre dressing on, then drove without taking some off, meaning it's flicked up the side a bit!

Thanks, Ollie.

i seem to remember reading the thread about this on cliosport?
stunning car mate

Thanks, guys. :)

These will no doubt be the last photos until the car goes down south for some engine tweakin' next month.

I've been collecting bits for a little while, which has just been sitting around the house waiting to go on!

:D

Yeah some time! Been well over a month since that update

I'm looking at the AD08's now, how are they doing on this?

The other bits would have been on by now, but then I decided to get the 428 cams too. It's then made the fitting a much bigger job. :)

Just under a month to go though; it's booked in at JMS on 18th July for all the work to be carried out.

The AD08's are brilliant actually. I had Parada Spec 2's previously and really liked those. The downside to the Parada's were the soft sidewalls; this is much improved on the AD08 as they have steel sidewalls. ;)

Generally performance is very good, I think I'll be sticking with the AD08's. They are, as they should be, in another league to the Paradas. :)

One word.....

*Droooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool*
I like :D

Tempted by the AD08s or even the AD07s (softer compound).
That's a helluva box of bits you have there too :)
Even the very mentioning of Jenvey on the box gave me wood

Thought I would update this thread with some recent changes; my box of parts are now under the bonnet! :p

I did give the rocker cover a bit of a going over with some de-greaser, but it's still looking quite ropey! I'm going to give it another go to try and get a bit more off and then spray it with crackle effect black VHT paint. I just want to get as much of the grease and dirt off before spraying it! :)

engine bay looks great
i love this car, its prob my favorite clio ever.
makes me wana go give my clio some love

can i ask what suspension are you using??

Looking at your Reg at the top im thinking i know your car from somewhere now seeing the JMS kit on it i know where from in JMS workshop i saw them fitting it.

Tbh I love this car it's kinda making me want to buy an older car I can just play with!!

Amazing car, amazing pics.

Can I just request we see a vid of this in action, as I'm sure it sounds amazing an goes well!!

Hey guys! Thanks for the kind comments! :p

Sorry for the delayed response, been busy sorting a few other bits since getting the car back! ;)

To answer a couple of questions for the comments above, I've actually no idea on what power it's producing at the moment. The car will be going to RST for a mapping session; at the moment, it's on the totally standard Renault map.

Really looking forward to driving it after it's been mapped. I'm seriously impressed with the kit already and I've been told it really comes alive once the mapping has been sorted!

Suspension wise, it's running Gaz coil overs, with KTR bolt in top mounts. :)

To give you an idea of what I've been doing over the past couple of days...

Rocker cover now sprayed in crackle black! Looks so much better than the dirty greasy unfinished look! ;)

Very happy with the results. :D

So, yesterday followed by today;

So, then I looked at the engine mount bolts (rusty and greasy). Gave them a coat of satin black hammerite to tidy them up a bit! :)

Much better! ;)

And, a close up shot of the crackle finish.

That'll do me for today!
