looks brilliant :cool:
would b intrested to see how much power you make before and after a map

I love the crackle in High Res, looks proper good!

Is it the VHT Crackle that you have to bake in the oven?
Was looking at doing my intake manifold in Crackle.

I believe they provide a before and after power figure. :)

Obviously, my before figure would be the car running the intake on standard map, decat and exhaust, so it won't be a full reflection on the performance increase I've seen from the kit. Still, will be nice to see what it makes. :D

Yep, it's the vht crackle that you bake in an oven. The rocker cover had to be sprayed on the car though, as removing it would cause the cams to go out of timing. Once it was touch dry after a couple of hours, we put all the parts back on the engine and started it to start the curing/baking; finished it with a long country road blast. :p

Quick update; the car's going in for mapping on 9th September (so, just under 2 weeks time).

Cannot wait to finally get it finished. :)

Had a bit of an issue regarding whether or not to fit the cams, so these have now been sold.

As the RS2 manifold was developed with the standard engine in mind, it was pretty much unknown how the two products (RS2 manifold and 428 cams) would work together. Earlier experiences/testing didn't look very promising; the risk was spending the additional £600ish getting the cams installed and only getting a couple of bhp increase or even loosing power over just the manifold alone.

It's a shame the cams didn't really work out as planned, but I think long term it's a better/safer decision.

And, just one recent photo;
