hi all does any one know if a clio 172 cup box ( 6 speed sadev sequential) will fit a twingo 133 engine .

just need to know if they will mate not worried about the fitting it.

probably need and adaptater and some work

but at the price of the gearbox maybe it's just small amount to add

maybe the best is to contact the original gearbox seller

they Cant tell me . i wont to put a twingo 133 engine in to a clio thats all

the S1600 also have the sequential

but the point not sure it's the same than the clio

sadev are stupid if they can't tell you
probably theyr is a plate to adapt the box
I guess they don't creat a complete new box for each new engine

check also the reference of the gearbox and compare to ref of R2 and S1600 that are k4m

Why do you want a 6 speed?

To save fuel on the motorway, if so the amount of money you will spend on buying and fitting it would make that reason redundant anyway :p

That sort of gearbox will be for performance, surely.

I have, but I have no idea about gearboxes, anyone care to explain the benefits of the box mentioned in OP to educate me?

its a genuine Renault sport gearbox which is made by a french company called sadev its a 6 speed sequential. which means you pull to go up the gears and push forward to go down . no need for clutch on the way up and also has flat shift so you dont lift off the throttle clutch on the way down but it. but as i said you havent got a h pattern to go thought. im currently converting my cup rally car to 1600 cc engine out of a twingo and wondering if the bell housings between the two engines are the same f4r and k4m before spending my money on a engine and having to fork out 8k on a gearbox. ill have another if not, plan but need to know if the f4r 2 ltr crank bearing sizes are the same as a 1.4 crank .

try to contact sadev or renault sport

not easy (specialy renault sport sometimes they are completly stupid)

renault sport are easy when you wont to speak to the Motorsport part of it . swr motorsport i.e sadev dealer uk , are also very good but they cant give me a direct answer as they have never had question asked . and as they say they dont want to say it will then i find out it wont if you get me . may have to ask the local scrapy if i can borrow a k4m for a few hours and see if they will mate up . or could always pull the engine out of the twingo 133 to see lol
