Hi All
Just found this forum while searching to find out if there was ever a recall for the clutch pedal problem?
The Link rod has fallen off twice on my wifes 1.2 Twingo, all I've had from the dealer so far is it needs whole new assembly at around £280. (just for the part)
The car has only done 14,000 miles.

thanks.

Update

It seems there is a problem with the clutch pedal link on 1.2 Twingos. I found out that a couple of dealers have replaced a few of these under warranty, also sold a few more for low mileage cars just out of warranty (like mine at 14,000 miles and two months out of warranty). Not cheap either, at around £500 for pedal box and fitting.
I've had some success though, after talking to Renault customer services, they agreed to pay 75%.

I still think it warrants a product recall for this though.

I can feel my clutch slipping alot at 2k revs in 3rd 4th and 5th now, planning to sell up in around 6 months anyway so hopefully lasts until then!

Should do if your easy on it. After talking with ktec they keep on at me to change my clutch before I put new stuff on... Just gotta find someone that will do it :-(

If its slipping in 5th, it must be prety well lunched

I should just LOVE to drive round with a slipping clutch for 6 months....

....almost as much as I'd LOVE to be the sucker that buys it off you in 6 months.

It's not bad unless you floor it.. it'll be going back to standard soon so will lose about 30bhp and 50lbs/ft and probably chopping it in at the local honda or BMW garage anyway so it's their issue then
