Hi all

I am new to the site.

Having owned a Clio 182 until recently I've decided to turn to Twingo as a second car for driving in and around Leeds. It looks a great car and they're brilliant value (esp at around 2 years old). I've managed to find a 59 reg with only 8k miles. After a bit of haggling I've agreed a price of £7k. It's got the upgraded stereo with bluetooth etc and looks in good order. BUT...

In the ad there is no mention of the Cup pack. The car appears to have the Cup styled wheels so I'm a bit puzzled. Did RUK make the same styled wheels in two different sizes? I have seen some examples with the 16" alloys below.

I have then seen most cars with the following styled wheels but some ads say they are 16" and some say 17". I'm a little confused and would appreciate any guidance from forum members.

the cup wheels only came in a 17"


the first photo is no cup 16"

and the second is cup wheel 17"

u can only get the cup wheels with the cup chassis from renault.

HOWEVER beware some people put Cup alloys on non Cup cars cos it "looks good".
 
do u have any side shots? as the cup is lower, so could maybe tell with the gap between the wheel and the arch.

it does look teh part from teh photo i can see
 
You really can't tell from a picture (and a bad small one at that). Karl'll be on he works at Renault and MAY be able to tell you from his system.

The other way if you can actually physically get to it is look at the door jam sticker and the coding on there will tell you (or the vin plate)
 
Thanks for this. I did think it looked like the cup pack was fitted. I'm even more excited about getting it now!!!
 
If Karl's on and able to tell for definite that would be great. Reckon i might look to get a few goodies to personalise it! Looks like there's some seriously useful knowledge on here - any recommendations for extras? I'm a bit old for the boy racer stuff but reckon xenon headlights might be a nice touch!

Davey's looks a total bargain, can't believe it hasn't sold at that price. Pretty much committed to this one though.
 
Ben/Ollie. Definately being a cup, what letter do you have on your oval plate for the suspension type?

Bottom row of characters, center group... I think i have 'MC...'which is hopefully a cup with climate control, but can't confirm, as I'm at work.

Yep, i do have M as the letter for suspension
