Hi, i have recently bought a 2008 Twingo extreme with a digital fuel gauge. Even when the tank is completely full (i accidentally over filed it today), the top two bars of my fuel gauge will not light up. Also, i loose the third bar very quickly (within 30 miles). After that, i can get around 250 miles out of it before i refill. Any ideas?

Also, the small badge in the centre of the steering wheel is in need of replacing, any ideas where i can get one? No luck on ebay!

For the small badge speak to Karl (twingogeekeo) and as for the fuel gauge problem never heard of that before. I'd take it to a renault dealer and get them to look at it.

Welcome Theresa.

Yep, look in the traders section for SMC renault and ask Karl, abour the badge..

How many litres are you putting in when filling up?

About 30 but i filled up with one bar (i had done about 30 miles on the last bar) and the red bar left. Thanks, Karl is on the case of the badge!

With the red bar left, I can get more than 30 litres in as it's a 40 litre tank. There has been problems with some cars being difficult to fill and occasionaly burping fuel. Getting the nozzle right into the neck of the filler should help as I have had wet feet when trying to fill from a pump on the passenger side and had to fill realy slowly.

It's recomended to only click the pump twice once full, not fill to where you can see the fuel level in the neck.

thanks, ill try that, mine only clicked once so i carried on slowly and it then over filled and got wet feet too! I will persevere with it and see what happens.

I have an extreme - as singlespeed said It is a bigger tank than 30 litres. I often go to the 5th click on the petrol pump as its such an awkward car to fill up (not advised in the owners manual .... just covering myself incase you squirt petrol on your paint or something )

I get 340 miles out of a tank until the red light comes on, its a bit of a thirsty engine for a 1.2 .
