As a complete newbie to TCEs, i'd be grateful if someone could let me know what component is being adjusted, where to find it in the engine bay and if possible, before and after photos?

here goes........

this is the stock blow off valve

it lives here in the engine bay (ignore my silver one , but this is where your black one will be)

undo this pipe out the back and plug it as (25mm plug) as shown...

spin it round so the part where the pipe you just took off and pluged is faceing you.

jobs done, hope this helps. :D

Thanks for the photos, they're a big help. In essence, you're blanking the standard BOV pipe so that the ECU doesn't complain, but i'm not sure how things would work from there?

yeah you could say that. thats just the return pipe for the excess boost (compressed air). you wont be needed it any more because this extra pressure is now being ejected out of valve into the engine bay. Hense the dumpvalve sound! glad i was able to help you out mate any more questions feel free to ask and il answer to my best ability. check out my progress thread too theres a few things on there you might find usefull.

Mike I found it easier to pull the pipe where you put the bung in and plug it right at the main robbed pipe at the far back of the engine bay.

Freed up a lot more room and looked neater.

yes that would be another way of doing it.

my garage is littered with not needed twingo parts from the intercooleer installment and my induction kit if i take anything else off il have no car left lol

less wieght = more speed.......hmmmm lol

Not sue if this helps either but its the only picture I have of my old DV setup, the vacuum pipe got changed to a slightly longer one though as the standard one was stretched and just reaching.
