My 1.2 can go up Holden hill (if anyone lives in the south west they will probs know this steep one on the A38 after Exeter) in 5th as long as no idiot pulls out in the fast lane doing 20mph, so as long as you know when a hils coming up they can really manage well, my old C1 VTR struggled in 3rd! They are very fast I personally think, the handling may not be as good but the tyres are very thin so do roll a lot.

yup !! its a beast alright !

They might be quickish.. its just the look of the things.. the RS is just a million times nicer in the looks department (my personal opinion).

Since seeing everyone else's on here I completely agree with you rob! If mine was an rs body with the 1.2 engine I wouldn't complain! I want a cheap - insurance and fuel - car to run, that also looks like it's the dogs balls!!

you could buy all the body kit and swap the parts over.... lol

I wouldn't mind a 1.2 turbo engine instead of a 1.6 N/A as there is more potential with it... + the 1.6 gets you on tax,fuel,insurance :(

Well the Gordini I nearly had was a 100 I think 1.2 tce! As soon as I mentioned turbo insurance was like noopee! They don't deal with any sort of sport or anything! Nearly got refused coz of black painted wheels and stripes lol! Stupid Hastings direct!

change insurer? Im with admiral (alot of others on here are too) and they are very competitive.

I was with Hastings already from my old car, when i renew just after Xmas then I'll more than likely go with elephant coz they came up cheapest for this car when I looked.. If I leave them then I have to pay another deposit on new insurance and then they would try and get a cancellation fee too.. Didn't really work out cost effective as well as having a new car!

I've driven c1's and aygos before and they feel quicker than they really are. Quite good fun actually! But even my last car was quicker

The Mrs had an Aygo as a courtesy car when her 133 went in to Renault for some warranty work.

Was actually a fun little car. Admittedly it was THE fastest car I've ever driven, mainly because they weren't my tyres or clutch!! With my own cars I'm extremely sympathetic, in a courtesy car, it's all about how hard you can drive it! lol

Funny thing was I was driving this Aygo, planted the throttle and side stepped the clutch. Proper chavvy wheel spin.

Later in the day I'm watching Top Gear and Clarkson wheels spins a Ferrari of some kind and I turn round to the Mrs and go 'See, just like me in that Aygo'.

Her response - 'Yeah but I bet the engine isn't making a terrible knocking noise when he does it'.

I`m driving mum`s twingo again this week and getting on really well with it, but i`ve noticed a few more things.

As its only a 1.2 i thought i would be able to get a higher mpg but it seems to be running at the same as the 133 to work. (nothing to do with my driving :))

Another thing drivers seem tailgate far more. As yesterday on my way home from work I had about 3 cars that wouldn't leave me rear bumper along. I dont know if it something to do with being a small car or what it is. I`m not driving any slower, yes the 1.2 cant accelerate like the 133 butIi dont hang about.

Just a few thoughts :) over all still impressed with the little thing, i`ll try get some photos up, once i`ve put a few 133.net stickers on it before I hand it back to mum :)

You might find that the mpg may be similar because the 1.2 has to work hard than the 1.6 to reach similar speeds.

I mean round town, you barely need to rev beyond 3k most of the time if you're staying within the speed limits. :)
