I'm a drummer, have been drumming almost 2 years now, and im pretty awesome :)
Started off by playing the guitar hero drums, and just loved it so much i got myself a £350 everything included, chinese made kit.. was a *******, but it did the job for learning on.. Then i bought myself a set of bottom of the range cymbals.. £300, yes bottom of the range at £300!?

Anyway, decided to sell that, got £102 :/ and i thought i would splash out on a new drum kit as i earned loads last year and i got a big holiday pay.. So i spent £1000 on a Tama Superstar Hyperdrive kit with all the stands and everything, but with no cymbals as i had my own..

So ive had it just over a year now, and my 'bottom of the range' cymbals are just about finished with.. ive basicly smashed 2 of them in half from consistant playing and i need a fresh new set.. but not just any new set :/
I want the best! why spend money buying mid-range cymbals that sound 'OK' when i can spend more and get the perfect professional cymbals that should last a lifetime!

So i got searching, and found 'the perfect set'.. Sept the price isnt perfect..
£675!!

I know it sounds like absolutley loads to spend on a drum kit, but if you enjoyed it as much as i do its so worth it!

So im saving up for those right now! got almost £150, not much but a start i guess :)
But even after ive bought them its still not finished! i want to buy a set of new drum heads which should cost £60, a new double bass pedal, £300!?
And the wish list is just never ending in such expensive stuff, but i love it :p

I hope my drum kit will make me famous one day :D

Any of you guys got expensive hobbies?

I've always wanted to restore a mini myself, but I'm on the wrong college course to be able to do that :( maybe if my drum kit makes me rich :)

That's one they I never spent money on. Watches yes, sun glasses yes, but clothes big no for me. Hate buying clothes, the WCU (wife controller unit) does that now. I wear them till they fall apart, then buy the same thing again, been wearing converse allstars since the 80's, not the same pair obviously.

Watches, thats a good one. Tag Heuer FTW! Cheapest watch i currently own is the one on my wrist now which is a diesel one and i got it for my mum for mothers day (my happiness is her happiness :) )
