That's one they I never spent money on. Watches yes, sun glasses yes, but clothes big no for me. Hate buying clothes, the WCU (wife controller unit) does that now. I wear them till they fall apart, then buy the same thing again, been wearing converse allstars since the 80's, not the same pair obviously.

PMSL

Expensive Hobby: Airsoft

You start off buying a decent gun to start off and some Camo and MAYBE a pistol...then you decide you want some LBE (Load Bearing Equipment) and a Holster for said pistol, because your pockets don't hold it well enough.

THEN, you decide you want a "loadout" to reflect a specific force or branch of militia so begin sourcing the Correct Camouflage, Weapons, LBE and the little details that make the loadout.

THEN, you decide to have multiple loadouts, including a Vietnam MACV SOG loadout...so you need period correct gear and guns...cue Thompson SMG and then add a full wood kit to it..

Before you know it, you're into double digit guns, umpteen different loadouts and a wardrobe full of Combat Gear *sigh*

It is GREAT FUN though :D

Guitars, computer gear and cycling ends up costing quite a lot. Always seem to need more bits for the bike(s) in particular

Guitars eh, we have 11!? Well we did at one point, think we have sold some now hahah.. My dads addicted to buying old guitars.. What guitars you got ;)

Haha that sounds awesome!!

And buying clothes isn't a hobby!
Shopping is most certainly a hobby! :D I can buy a whole wardrobe new within an hour  . My personal best 8 minutes in a lasenza and come out £150 less in my pocket  (I'd saved nearly £100 though  )
I don't have a shopping addiction, honest! :p

Expensive hobby i know what your saying bit like my cycling but the way i look at it if its something i enjoy and keeps me busy then its worth it.

For example on the expensive side of cycling

Road Bike £1500
Pedal (Dont come with the bike) £80
SPD Shoes £70
Lycra shorts Bib (with padding) £55
Cycling Jersey £35
Gloves £30
Helmet £100
Glass £50
Pump (Frame fit) £35

Total =1955

Thats just you genral outlay for a summer cyclist and ruff pricing on stuff i own there is some stuff that cost more. On top of this i have 5 more jerseys, Another pair of bib shorts, 2 normal shorts, Thermal leggings, pair of gloves, front and rear lights, spare SPD cleats, Skull cap, Energy bars and drinks, leg warmers, arm warmersand a track pump. Im sure theres bits i have missed out. This is including the stuff for the winter riding.

Plus then on top of that i have my mountain bike and all the bits for that

Its a never ending cost! But at the end of the day its something i enjoy and keeps me happy so theres a point there to spend my money on it. And thats they way you should be looking at it. You only live once.

Golf, hate to even add up the amount I have spent on clubs.

Badminton, for such a simple game, the amount of add-ons (racket bags, shoes, shuttles) let alone the racket itself and amount of re-strings I have to pay for, it is insane.

Car, endless money pit.

Girlfriend, though more of a chore and not a hobby hahahahaha!!

Every hobby though, it is as expensive as you make it. You can do everything ^ on the cheap.

Yea cant agree more cars are money pits.

Also on the extra cost lines of the re strings for the racket kind of the same on the bikes need to replace chains £46 ago, cables (depends on what you get) and pads (depends on what you get) that can be pricy for what they are on the depends what you gets  but like ive send if you enjoy it then its worth it.

land bording, land kiteing
the car
computeing
guitar (fender strat) just sitting on the wall.............
photography
ect ect

my motorbike is my only hobby these days

helmet
leathers
gloves
boots
jacket
trackdays
tyres
etc

it all adds up :(

Poor fender :(

My rough price list looks like this

Drum kit £1000
Cymbals £700
Double bass pedal £400
New drum heads £100
New snare drum £600
New cymbal stand £75
New sticks every other month £10
Recording mic set £200

Obviously I don't have all that yet, but that's basicly how it would pan out if I had the money.. As I want top end stuff it's gonna be long waits between each addition!
Can't emphasise how much I enjoy it, I even leave my poorly girlfriend in my room on her own just cause I miss playing to some chilli peppers or 30 seconds to mars...

And then the car list steps in.. Jesus!

Cars.
I've spent a fortune on modding cars over the past few years.
This one was meant to be something I didn't mod but oops....... already started
