Good to see the "new" Brit driver, Paul DiResta, put up a decent performance in his first qualifying session and posting a grid placing in front of his team-mate.

To all the Scots out there, be prepared for us Sassenachs to claim him as a "British Success" when he does well, but a "Scottish Failure" when he doesn't.

Just kidding, guys ;-)

Lol you speak the truth

did anyone watch the Malaysian Grand Prix - Qualifying??
looks like we could actually have some racing on our hands!!!
come on mclaren

Yep. It looks like it could be a good race. Will hopefully be plenty of good scraps going back down the grid too

haha the "Rudderless Russian"

What was Petrov thinking/doing!!

put some rally cars to shame that jump did, hes going to be sore in the morning.

Enjoyed the race today

was a good race i thought. :D
loved the new idea of jumps to get people watching

good to see alonso's eye brows getting in the way again causing him to hit the tyre of the mclaren

Seen Petrov's tyre after his accident on Friday? This is from one of his rear tyres, showing just how much sliding and spinning damages the new tyres.

Didn't expect to see this much damage from the one incident. (This was the one where his front suspension broke and he slid off into the gravel)

Was a pretty good quali this morning. Nice to see Di Resta continuing his form. But what about the q1 shocker! Was a good little race at the end of q2 too

I think he means Webber yes.

I hope Vettle doesn't completely dominate this season...

+1, but he is a good driver in a reliable and competative car, so the others have got some work to do to keep up... Let alone get infront of him.

I did indeed mean webber. I know there were problems with his kers, but that's not really an excuse to be that far back. He said he didn't get the chance to get heat into the second set of prime tyres, so but of an error there.

Everyone does seem to have some catching up to do to close the gap to vettel, even webber. Think Renault were a bit unlucky today, they had a fast car and with petrov's breakdown stopping heidfelds chances it was a bit of a shame or both of them. There's a few teams seeming to be playing catch up from where they shoul be though. Although, remove red bull and the field is probably not too dissimilar to a few years ago...

lets hope both the renaults can get a good start like last week, means we could see the renaults and webber coming thro the pack.

think the probs in Q1 have mixed people around abit so hopefully another good race 2moz.

do think that vettle is on fire atm so just hope that the mclarens can stay with him and start to take the fight to him abit more

Agreed mate...im hoping the Mclarens can pull it back soon!

Renualt have really surprised me this year in a positive way...they are consistent as a team in the race (two 3rd place finishes) and the ability for strong starts and good race pace!

Should be a good race tomorrow thats for sure!

Cracking race, especialy the last 10 laps

Well done by Webber, only 7 seconds off the winner from 18th on the starting grid
