Does anyone have the standard factory fitted stereo with USB connection? The one I have only has phono left and right inputs :( My car is a Twingo Gordini 100 and the stereo i have has the grey front panel with bluetooth.
Is its a simple job to swap these stereo's over? If not them aftermarket it is... :D

I have been having a look around and now know that what I was referring to is "tune point". Does anyone have this?

Would I then be able to control iPod from the stereo, and see track titles on the standard display, enabling me to hide the iPod away in the glove box?

Anyone know how much tunepoint is?

Hi there

You're right, it's called the Tunepoint and it enables you to control the iPod from the stalk controls etc but I don't think it shows track information, it just shows numbers.

At one stage, I wanted one of these so I kept an eye out on eBay and found that they tend to go for about £75-£100 in good, used condition.

Thanks for the info Matt, sounding like replacing the stereo is going to be the best and most cost effective way round this...

Anyone know what the display will display if i change the stereo? will it just be blank?

I think so but I'm not really sure on that. If you change the head unit, I expect you'll lose bluetooth functionality?

do you have bluetooth at all or anythting like that ?

oops sorry ! yea you will loose your bluetooth if u change the headunit if u go down that route you will need a harness for the aftermarket headunit that will enable you to use your steeringwheel controls again :) but i aint sure what will come up on the screen if you do that,
but i do know you will still have your clock and outside temprature still there.

I think the harness is expensive as well because it's quite an unusual one.

I've got this stereo in my twingo, can control the I-pod or other music device through either the head unit or the twisty runner on the back of the finger tip controls, it displays the track name and time it runs for, though the track name has to be formatted in a weired way for it to, also I'm sure magic that the gordini has this function aswell as it's the same radio as the Dynamique

Hollie, do you have the usb in the glove box? i think we have the same stereo's as you say but i dont have the usb connection, just the RCA left right ones by the gear stick... I think i might pop in to the dealership and ask, just see what they say....

Otherwise is going to be aftermarket, but I hate having to have to remove front panels thats why i wanted to keep the original.....

Thanks to all that have posted and i'll let you know how i get on...

Not sure I don't think so, however my friend gave me the red and White cable for his I-pod that didn't have bluetooth and it worked Fine, the only thing is that it dosent charge ur phone or I-pod up on the move or display names, may be worth if u want these two features and can't use bluetooth to get an aftermarket stereo
My mum and dads RS 250 has a USB connector but they never use it, it sits in the arm rest, I'll check in my stereo handbook if any Renault twingo has one of these

I can play music wirelessly through the Bluetooth from my iPhone, but it doesn't come up with the track name.. Does it if it's plugged in then?

Had alook in the handbook for all the stereos, no twingo standard factory fitted stereo has the USB connection only on other models of Renaults by the looks of it. However even through the USB it will not display the artist or track name unless formated correctly. However some stereos like in the megane and wind have the USB connection and you can programme the names and artists by pressing 2 on the head unit. But again it dosent make it clear that any twingos have this feature only the clio up depending on spec; aftermarket stereos do display the name etc straight away though.

Sorry, I'm a bit late to this thread. I have the factory fitted stereo with USB connection stuff in the glovebox. I got two renault manuals to do with the stereo when I got the car, one "Radiosat" and the other about the "audio connection box", with guides on how to use the three additional jacks. (USB, aux and unspecified "ipod connection cable" which has a weird composite connection I've not seen on the end of an iPod cable before)

TBH i've not really used it yet with an iPhone/pod as I've mainly just stuck to mp3 cd's which I can confirm it does show track name etc for.

I have the version with the usb and the AUX. It shows the name of the song, artist etc both with cd(with mp3) and from usb sticks

when i play mp3 cds, the track names come up... it would be nice if it could when i play them off my iphone! can i configure it then?
