I think i may of found my Twingo 133......if the deal is good enought and the px price is good with the Clio.

Went upto Chippenham last night and had a look at a Twingo 133 they have for sale at a Ford dealer. Has had one owner from new old guy as i understand ( Supplied by Platinum Renault), he chopped it in for a Ford Fiesta Zetec. Bodywork is in good order abit from a tiny scratch over the passenger side front wing and the passenger side alloy had been curbed  but the other 3 alloys are fine and done nearly 12,000 miles.

What do you think and is there anything else i should ask about it??

I recon you can push them down to 8.5k ;)

Looks like a nice car. How much they offering for the 182 ? Also see if they will get the alloy repaired and the scratch done before you pick the bad boy up it if all goes to plan :)

Go for the Suzuki swift SX4 instead   only joking

+1, that or extreme blue

Thanks guys

I just spoken to the sales guy and told him i loved the car but its the alloy that is putting me off and he piped up and said that they will fix that for me if i go for the car. He said he was waiting prices to px the 182 and i asked was there any movement on the price and was told he would have to speak to the sales manager as they have already knocked £500 of the price it was up for last week plus he said they would give me a year free road tax worth £155 in the deal and thats taking my 182 in with no tax in it at present.

So i'm playing a waiting game at the moment.....so nervous

+1. Looks good, and think 8.5K would be a fair price. (don't forget you can always reverse the salesmans tactics on them, things like I'll offer you 8.5K for today only :) - no matter what they say, it's always possible to haggle. I managed it with various places that pride themselves on not doing haggling. Though they may try and claim tax is all they can do )

Hope they give you a good offer on the Clio

P.s. Does look very nice, you got to take it for a drive yet?

I haven't taken a drive of it yet....The test drive is booked for sunday morning. They are still trying to get me to put a refundable deposit on it, which i'm not sure on doing as got done on that once before by a Trade Centre when i was looking for my first car in 2003, then the local Renault Dealer felt sorry for me and gave me a great deal on my Clio Extreme2.

Still not heard about my Clio....Bet it will be a poo price as its an 04 reg on 72k with full service history and well loved by me.

Yup it is indeed...I had a look at it yesterday as was going to a shopping party at my mate house in chippenham and i had to pass it so i thought i would take a nose.

Thanks for the info ;)

Ask for the refundable in writing or emailed so you have proof of it being said ;)

It looks like a good example, but i have only seen it from the petrol station when filling up. It was also the reason why i ended up soaking myself in petrol while i was checking it out..... whoops :)

Hope the purchase all goes well.

Thanks guys

Still not heard anything yet...think i will give him a call and chase him down ;)

** Update **

Wanted to offer me £3,200 for the Clio WTF  ....Said no and think again, so going off to see if he can get a better price, so still waiting :(
