Actually a wrap is pretty durable but you won't get the reflection of a lacquered paint job.

You're probably looking at about a grand to have it done professionally and that will last 5-7 years if looked after, if not more.

Already consider it/done alot of research

had quotes from various companies

they said they couldnt guarantee it would be identical to liquid yellow

you will be looking at roughly £1,200 +

I decided its just not worth it... i would rather spend £1,200 or something else but each to their own.

Not worth wrapping it, definately will not look the same as the proper LY and everytime you look at your car youll know its fake. Which would always be in the back of your head haha.

I would get it painted though.

I would say £1,200 is a conservative quote for a full colour change. A friend of mine has a Leon Cupra-R in yellow which is faded to various different shades. Anyway, the local bodyshop I use quoted him £1,200 to give the outside a blow over in the same colour. To redo all the shuts etc it would have been £2k.

If you wanted the engine bay and interior metals changed you'd be looking at the very least £2k.

At least the advantage of a wrap would be that you'd be looking about about £1k for a completely colour change that'd last at least as long as you're likely to intend keeping the car. Also, a decent place should be able to do the majority of the door and boot shuts. Also, lets face it, you're not going to hide the fact it's wrapped but driving round people won't know.

an email i had in the past from a company...

Hi Rob

Thank you for your email and apologies for the delay in our reply. Unfortunately vinyls are not made in paint colours, I would suggest you maybe come over one day to look through our colour swatches and see if anything matches. As a rough guide to wrap your car in something like gloss white or yellow would cost £870 inc VAT if you car is already a dark colour. Door shuts would cost at extra £200 inc VAT

If you need anything else please don't hesitate to drop me a line,

Kind regards

Scott

the car in question is my twingo 133 (price low due to size of the car :) )

i can post the company up if anyone is interested.

Sorry I was meaning re-spray rather than wrapping the car. I thought you meant re-spray rather than wrap! lol

Also, having the shuts done would definitely be worth extra. :)

I'm with u nick would look immense that's why I'm thinking about it and the fact no. 1 else has mentioned it so il see how it goes but it's somthing it would b the only 1 in the uk so pretty cool at that fact

There's already a carbon wrapped twingo although I guess you mean in a completely different colour?

Certainly worth it to have a unique twingo :)

As far as I was aware there were only a few in liquid yellow and it never went to production or sale.

they don't offer the car in 'liquid yellow' because "only proper Renault Sport vehicles built in dieppe, france are privileged to be painted with this colour"... :)

thats where i first seen the Ly rs133 but wasent sure if it really existed or not makes sense now
