Just bought a 2011 Gordini 100TCe for my sons 18th birthday to replace his 03 Citroen Saxo. I've stored it in a friends garage until his birthday in June (only done 2500 miles!)

Anyway, it's obviously not quite as edgy as a 133, but I would like to improve the looks a bit. I was thinking of replacing the standard 15 inch wheels (they look a bit lost in those arches) with the wheels from it's big brother the Gordini 133 - 17 inch I think. I assume they would fit?? Any other wheel suggestions from good looking Renault models out there i.e. clio? I don't want aftermarket wheel really, so any suggestions on Renault wheels that would fit this car would be really helpful and maybe any that you know are for sale.

Any other suggestions on looks / styling upgrades for it??

thanks a lot

I recon the cheapest opetion to make the wheels look better is to lower it and get some spacers for it..

And it will make it less wobbly haha!

You can get some springs for £120ish and spacers i bought luckily for £60 a pair

Maybe check out my progress thread in the progress/projects section, you may get some ideas!

I'd plonk in some Clio 182 alloys then lower it by 30-40mm then 10/15mm spacers.

But as its a gordini the best bet is what BlackTwingo-i said and just make the alloys fill the arch

thanks, I've had a look and see what you mean and it does improve the look. The wheels just don't look very menacing!

I don't know what Clio 182 wheels look like. What size are they?

Do the 17 inch 133 wheels fit the 100? Any other wheels... love the look of some of the Renaultsport Megane wheels.

Best dad ever?!

I love the oem wheels on the gordini 100. Wanna sell them to me? :p

Gordini alloys are expensive so it depends how much you looking to spend and also how careful around curbs he is! They don't take kindly to punishment

Check out hollydynamique on here as she's out 133 alloys on her twingo so some helpful advice in there!

Welcome. What a cool dad u r!!

Id go for turinis myself, really suit the none rs twingo. Je gt on here has thrm on his, have a look at his progress thread to see what they look like :)

I have a set of dare st alloys for sale 17 inch, i think the offset should better suit a gt rather than a 133, perhaps one of the gt owners can help out. ET40?

They looked spot on on my gordini 133 but the offset was slightly out.

182 wheels lowered 40mm with 25mm spacers front and back

The 17" cup wheels will fit, but will require spacers to bring them out to the same position as the originals. The 133 has 7x17 ET55 wheels, compared to the Dini100 being about 6 or 6.5x15 ET38 (not 100% on the actual values)

4x100PCD and a center bore of 60mm is needed. The newer Clios and Megane wheels won't fit directly, as the stud pattern is completelt different ;)

I recon if they did those turini style gordini tce alloys in 16" they would be a massive hit!!
Specially with black inserts

I've got 16" versions of your sons 15" and I love them keep them get some humcentric spacers and lower the car ... Be cheaper than buying new alloys too and your son will love you for keeping the 15" wheels as tyres are cheap! :p

That's mine on 16's and have a higher et due to being off te Clio and I'm lowere on springs ... Keep the 15's I say !

this is great stuff folks, all massively appreciated. Tbh cost isn't much of an issue, just want the right (uncheesy) solution rather than the cheapest one. By the way, the 100 Gordini I have bought is blue.

I did look at the 'Turinis' daveyb. They do look very cool and JE's car looks the shizz. I won't pretend I know what Turinis are, so can you explain a bit? I expect it's also had loads of other stuff done, including lowering?

Blacktwingo, you are bang on - looks much better lowered. Don't they look like castors otherwise!! I'm not a big fan of going aftermarket though, so lowering is good but I'd be worried about selling the car on later... might come across as a boy racers motor or might have to put it back to original before selling. Cool and subtle is good for me.

Really like the alloys benmc, they look pretty slick tbh... maybe lowring is the way then :?

thanks

Speedline Turini wheels ;) Clio182 Trophy had some nice light weight 16" versions with the Speedline logo embosed into the face of the wheel. The Turini and style is still avaliable new from Speedline, as the 2120 motorsport wheel which comes without any center caps, or an aftermarket fitment TYPE 2120 TURINI which has the center cap option.

The Trophy Turinis offset was too high (I think theyre about ET43/48) for my liking so I went for the speedline ones with an offset of ET35 with 20mm spacers on the rear and none on the front as I couldn't get it as low with them on. Rimstyle sell them (I searched under the renault clio fitment) if you're after a set but with a decent tyre option they're around £800-900+
