Thanks for all the good wishes guys, I'm looking at it like this........there's a new generation of petrol head on the way!!! haha

Although we're in two minds about the Clio RS at the moment. As much as I would love one, weighing up the fuel costs, tax and compromised practicality I can it's a car I want more than my other half and it's is gonna be her car.

Ironically whilst in the Renault dealers we spotted something that seems to have won us both over a little bit. Bit of a surprise as I hate typical 4x4s, they're usually pretentious looking fashion accessories but I'm really loving the Dacia Duster!!!!

Not only is it ridiculously spacious, sturdy and purposeful looking. It's crazy cheap for what it is. We're seriously contemplating the Laureate spec which means electric windows front and back, electric mirrors, aircon, Bluetooth etc all for £15k!!

Going for a test drive tomorrow, I mean as much as I know it'll be slow as long as it's comfortable and isn't a chore to drive it's a serious contender.

In the mean time I'm saving my pennies to replace the 172 with a 197/200 maybe next year. Such a shame I have to be sensible for once!! lol

Congrats Alex. I recently became an uncle and I've enjoyed looking after little baby enrico when I've had the chance, even changed a few nappies they can have him at 3am when he has a pj party though!

youll be a great dad too. Some of the stuff you come out with will ensure that mini Alex is what I think of as a proper member of society

Yes a Duster forum would be good haha. I've just gotta see how the thing drives first. I like the ethos behind it and the way it looks and feels. It's ugly and has character which is a big part of a cars appeal for me haha.

Ive ordered mine in white due in early April! So so cant wait!

We have a White one at weybridge with the goodies on if you wanted to look at one but it just not 4x4
