Just wondering whether its worth getting coilovers for a GT, is it a massive increase in handling etc? What coilover packs have you baught and how much have they cost?

I have AP coilovers, they were about £530 but completely worth it. By far the best mod on my car. Handles like a go kart and I love how low I can get it, slammed.

I think a remap and coilovers are by far the best mods for a GT. Brings you on handeling/performance very close with a 133.

Where I fitted my coilovers the guy recommended that for sporty driving and some occasional track fun you should go for Weitec. AP is a little cheaper but more comfy.

i'm not sure they are cheaper then weitec, at least in italy are not, but if they are really more comfortable maybe i'll buy these..did you try both?

don't forget a strut brace if you are going to install coil overs

Here in Belgium, AP is cheaper than Weitec. Kinda follows up each other: AP < Weitec < KW Suspension (although it also depends a bit what kind of car you have, but in general it works like this).

weird dude, i don't have an OEM air intake and i've just ordered two strut braces from OMP for my GT. i'll phone up and cancel my order though and tell them you said there was no way ;)

Front strut brace won't fit properly under the scuttle panel so the scuttle panel wont fit 100% so it leak and others had issues with water dropping onto coils and the throttle body.

All hostility aside ill be watching the progress on this, but I'm certain it won't fit, plus all of us on here have basically looked into fitting a front strut but decides there's no way for one too.

Personally I'd go for the rear upper strut and lower chassis bracing and a rear ARB as orbital modded to go on his 133, all are a relatively simple custom job.

Good luck and make sure to post pictures when you trial it and if it goes on!
