thanks alot lads, i'm not trying to make it a GT in 133 clothing ya know? just love mapping cars, sat for 3 bloody weeks making my own ecu parameters refused to pay £350 for a little bit of coding hahaha with some help from other fellas in arnold clark renault obvs :p am from outside helensburgh, thanks alot @Moving Shadow, your Wind sounds pretty cool. the TCE engine is great with a turbo, i opted for the GT because i could basically play around with it more than i could the 1.6RS engine. twingo333.net decals should be made!

..... I have a twingo gt 2008 in blue and I am currently pulling 137bhp at the road wheels with a custom magnaflow straight through exhaust system with the cat still on. ...

137bhp at the wheels? WTF?
Not 137bhp at the flywheel?

Sounds like you are pretty clued up with the mapping Davie, hows your economy fairing?

137 at the wheels, the exact problem with the factory tce components in a remap of the gt is that you can get about 120 give or take a few horses but at that point the clutch slips and the injectors are stressed to hell as they're designed to work with the power of a 70bhp engine also the torque produced goes close to 200nm of torques and the reduction through final drive is pumped by wheels spinning.......hypathetically with the correct components if you spent about 7k you could pull 300bhp out of that engine but unless you have money for a new cylinder head every 6 months then forget bowt it haha. I got over 50mpg as a standard gt but remapped it works out about 45 mpg when I'm gentle, and about 25mpg when I see a corsa vxr's headlights as I leave the lad behind. I work daily on ecu's at arnold clark renault, im not a whizz but I can get the most out of an ecu's power train :) sorry for slevering on.

Whats power at the flywheel then?
Pretty impressive if the RS is only rated at 131bhp

110kw at the flywheel, so I think that's about 149 150 but flywheels are really crude measurements I believe because the amount of torque that is lost in the final drive reduction :) some good old fashioned tunnings the way forward, new spark plugs antimony platinum alloypreferably, uprated Ah battery to handle the start up, custom exhaust (shy away from this ktec nonsense you won't gain a horse!) Change your oil regularly, your own preference induction set up....all that and you'll gain 10-18 horses after your remap lads. Seen 1.6 lupos pull close to 800bhp before and 1.4 beetles pull 1000bhp at strips, remaps are for the ignition so remember, good old mechanical tune ups are where its at!

what power do you think the 133 drivetrain and bottom end can take?

I'm considering leaving the exhaust valve seats as a single cut, instead of three angle when reworking the cylinder head. Can you guess why?

Depends on the angle your valve stems will sit at and how you plan to work the cylinder head and cams after that its anyones guess! I've only mapped two 133's before, got one upto 148bhp and the other one was an economy map, I feel they lack the boost of a turbo don't you? Fit the right turbo and farting manifold plus a remap and a 133 would be more like an RS180 !
