Had a lil bump...

Just a small crash. Basically what happened was, I was driving in the right lane of a dual carriageway, there was a lady in a Land Rover Discovery in the left lane, slightly behind me... A BMW pulled out infront of her, she swerved to avoid it... and collided with me. Insurane is all sorted and its getting fixed on Monday, the Land Rover has had to accept liability as the BMW was uninsured. Although, even if it was insured, I doubt could be held responsible as even though it caused the crash, it wasn't hit!

A court case for not being insured hopefully.

This sucks mate and hope all the repairs go well and it looks as good as before once finished.

As Someone else said, hopefully a court case! It was quite a strange experience feeling the shunt, looking in the rear view mirror and seeing nothing!

One thing thats made me a lil upset is that the garage repairing Gordon said my car is in 'Class A', so I will end up with something piddly. Better than nothing I suppose! Haha

At least you are ok and car's getting sorted. Hassle free! Could have been worse if people started protesting their innocence at the scene!

Yeh it could have been worse, and yeh I wasn't hurt so thats good. Its just a headache, but I'll be smiling again next week. I'll treat him to a 4 wheel alloy wheel refurbish... Or a 3 wheel one considering one was damaged in the accident... That should get done on Monday. Do you reckon the garage will have difficulty sourcing the colour? Ive never had to get a car repaired before

Well, its been 3 weeks and I still don't have my Gordini back! I called for an update a few days ago and was told they're awaiting parts... a new door, a new rear wing, a Gordini badge, a new rear axle & bushes (what are they?)... and the alloy wheel has been sent off to be refurbished.

It seems the car was worse than it looked!

Well, I suppose it taking longer but coming back properly is far better than it coming back quickly but being wrong.

If you insurance is covering costs it will take a fair while as my car had 2 different inspections for my insurance company each were 2 weeks apart. Mine had less damage than yours but they have to check the suspension, alloys and brakes to see if they've been damaged in anyway just incase. I had some 208 I think as a courtesy car. Easiest car to drive in the world.
