Same with my car.. HID kit was a huge (illegal) upgrade.maggi112":3t2tht5z said:Reminds me I ordered bulbs like before Xmas online and still haven't seen them. Good job I haven't needed them really.
Thing with the twingo is the bulbs are so under powered whatever you Put in there that you still can't see  worst headlamps I've ever used!

Philips blue vision were recommended to me. I went for the 'Philips extreme vision' as i didn't want any blue tint to be visible.

Mine are 8000k and I haven't had any people flashing their lights at me.Daveyb133":xlwe9jm7 said:fugly21":xlwe9jm7 said:If I was to get hid kit what one would I need
6000k is about the highest colour, 4300k if u were to be on the safe side
I think its very clear, since the MOT tests have been brought inline with the construction and use laws, due to european regulations.Monster Detail":1npd4z6k said:maggi112":1npd4z6k said:Hardly a grey area. Just people interpret it to suit their own needs. And others ignore it
It is most definitely a grey area. The law surrounding aftermarket HIDs, which are the brightest, is extremely unclear. Some people will speak to police and be told they're fine, while others are fined and told to remove them.
yep, me toomaggi112":943cogqc said:Which backs up what I said. There is no grey areas, just some people either I interpret them differently to suit their needs or ignore them. Depending on application I'm far from anti hid (my previous car had them). I realised the legal implication and I interpreted that to be a risk I was going to take.
Not discounting the fact that you need H11 bulbs for the foglight.minijay":3u08y6pc said:I found some on eBay (H7 55W Super Bright Extreme White 6000K Xenon Gas Filled
Halogen Headlight Bulbs) and was going to buy them... Until I saw how difficult it is to change the 'fog light' bulbs.
Also, judging by what Im reading on here, a good thing I didn't buy them too as it appears they may be illegal, even though the ad states they're 'road legal'! Nothing worse at night than having a driver with headlights too bright coming towards you.
