dubz u can be the first with a 172 engine. :)

we pick on blacktwingo so seeing that u have the same car i think u need a new engine in your life too :)

::cringes:: that's even worse this new bread of member seems to be more like us unruly members of some experience!

Two Chris's in the same thread :S

£200 for an 172 engine... That's pennies ;) I'm tempted to buy it...

bit like the old merc amg's. they look like a nothing on the outside but put ya foot down and u know its anything but a normal merc.

yep 2 chris's could confuse stuff.

£200 for a 172 engine. that seems way to cheap

Im trying to get some heat of ya but these Chris' need separating

But the big grin on my face when someone pulls up next to me would give it a way.

If I was to buy that engine what else would I need to buy?

New ECU
Gearbox
Exhaust
engine loom
airbox?
clutch

anything else?

Also the thing's I'll have to do to the insurance company to let them insure me.... :?

Oh insurance would be a killer most probably!

I don't think you need anything else might be wrong

will be intereesting if it actualyl would fit. as in the 172/182 there isnt much room under the bonnet. and the twingo bay looks smaller than the clio

Apparently it's meant to fit. I can't remember who but someone measured it and it all is meant to fit.. Just.

According to my calculator it's £1338 this includes engine, 187 gearbox, 172 clutch, engine loom, clutch cable and exhaust. Not the ECU as I have no idea where to get prices for that.

Now engine swap or uni... :S

A 2.0 turbo in a twingo........... He needs to be a magician in order to stop the front wheels from spinning when he whips those horses into action!

That's what I was thinking but i would love to have a try

I'd love to drive that!

Also have two 1.6l engines in a twingo for the front and back wheels would also be great fun :p

Who's willing to try that ;)

Wasn't something similar done like this with a C2 but with two V6 engines?
