I'm starting to think my twingo attracts too much attention.

Jra3d aren't you an officer of the law?

That he is.

Although I imagine he drives sensibly when on duty as he seems to like going balls out in most corners in his twingo.
That's our Jra3d

I get loads of attention, mainly as im manly as hell. Even i'd do me...

On the car front I also have been pulled a few times when behaving and also attract loads of chavs wanting a 'race'. I put it down to the chavy cup spoiler.

The twingos attract attention from everyone. Good and bad. Chavs wanna race it, police pull them up for being 'boy racer' ish. The joys of owning a car people dont know much about.

Worse thing with mine was an attempted car jacking by some little chav.

As for the local police........ im saying nothing

yeah to be fair I prefer not to pay for pay and display...
So who, exactly, do you think should pay for you to have the privilege of parking where you want?
He seems to be paying one way or another to be fair haha

Thing is driving any kind of car that stands out for whatever reason be it sportly looking, noisy exhaust, big stereo it's going to drawer attention from people, including the Police.

All you can do is make sure no one has anything on you. I mean I doubt you got two parking tickets because you have a nice car but whatever parking offence it was.

Sadly driving any car that's a bit different in some way means you have to be more careful when parking it or driving.

+1 and you have to be even more on your toes if you got coilovers that are illegal, in the respective country :problem:

Haha where as in the UK you just have to be careful on coilovers you don't demolish your car on a pothole! lol

That was almost Horatio Caine-like in response. Brilliant!

As for the issues you've encountered dbird, I think the point has been put across pretty well. Getting pulled for what could be construed as driving without due care and tickets not paying in Pay and Display locations, you're not really helping yourself, are you?

I've been pulled over 3 times in the rs.

1st was when I had my pressed plates and got a £60 fine.

2nd was for no insurance when the dozy **** put the wrong reg in

3rd was at 2am at -2 just to look at my car

before last week i had only been pulled over once in 9 months. i put my private registration on last Monday and in a week i have been pulled 3 time's in one week :(

Actually I reckon that if the police don't know much about your car, they base it on the age of it. A couple of years ago the police were doing random spot checks at the side of the road and when they saw that my Clio I had at the time was a 59 plate, they barely glanced at it, however they went over my mate's 02 plate Corsa he had at the time with a fine toothcomb, and because you had a private reg, it hid how new it was?

I blame SAMs reg plate for why he gets pulled. Ends in nob so asking for trouble really.

You can usually spot the unmarked police cars if you know what to look for. Think of it as an alternative to Stobart spotting, not as a way of perverting the course of justice. Oh no.

Some tell-tale signs: the car has the same registration prefix as the MARKED police cars in your area. There's no dealer sticker in the back, no GB sticker and no dealer logo on the number plate. There's usually an extra antenna and extra mirror, sometimes you can see equipment in the front window (e.g. a camera). And they are usually quite powerful cars doing exactly the speed limit or a little under when you'd expect them to be bombing past in the overtaking lane. Typically there will be two people in the front of the car.. and a police uniform is a dead giveaway.

Of course, the best thing to do is not go over the speed limit and drive responsibly! Use the speed limiter if you have one, especially around town. There's plenty of fun you can have at less than 30mph :)
