Also acts as a proxy filtering out unwanted data. Everything you do goes through their service, all in their privacy policy on their website.
 
If the app compressed it on your phone before sending out to the remote servers, and everything came back through their servers and was decompressed by the app on your phone that could work.

I've no idea if that's how this app actually works, never looked at it tbh as I spend most of my time roaming on wifi's so no real need to compress

I have an Android phone but its basecially the same as iPhone but sometimes slightly different names (but obviously better because its Android :p )
