Just wondered how many Twingo owners intend on keeping their 133s for a good while or is it a stop gap until you want or can afford something faster or bigger?

I personally can't see myself selling up. The RS Twingos are rare little cars and I feel lucky to have a Gordini so I intend on hanging onto mine alongside my Megane. :D

when i bought the twingo it was going to be a keeper... but due to certain changes in circumstance it will now be going.

i reckon there will b quite a high turn over of keepers on the 133's. as you said as peep get older with more cash more cars will b available.

but i do think there will b a few that own them for years.

At the moment I want to keep her but with the finance deal thingy I got I will probably upgrade when my 3 years is up. but if I was to come into some extra money I would keep her for sure.

It's a keeper for me, can't justify running anything more costly, bang for buck the twingo is staying. I have owned much plusher, faster and nicer cars than the little twingo but there is just something about that makes me grin. I love having what the blokes I work with call 'that silly little girly toy car' then in the same breath it's 'can I have a go'

That's coming from a man that's had 10ish cars in less than four years.

I've had mine for 2 1/2 years now. The plan was to keep it especially because there's no finance on it. Due to recent events ive fallen out of love with it so it will be going at insurance renewal time

ave had mine for 1 1/2 now and plan 2 have it for a few more as i still want 2 change a few bits n pieces on it also love the fact that there not common :)

As I've got a Gordini its a keeper!

Round here it keeps up with most things and leaves me smiling, plus when a bikes on the cards there's my speed!!

Bit of a mix of responses although plenty how I expected.

There's quite a few younger (early 20s) 133 owners, which makes sense as the 133 is far more easy to insure and run than a lot of hot hatches. Bearing in mind the RS Clios and Meganes and other hot hatches are about twice as high insurance groups and far less economical to run, the 133 makes an ideal hot hatch for younger drivers.

As much as I'd love an RS250 or 200 I had to be sensible what with having a mortgage and all that sensible old guff so the 133 was the sensible RenaultSport choice lol

Karl - you seem to take as much stick for not using your 133 as I do with my Megane and Twingo haha

Planning on using mine as in some local Hillclimbs once the coilies and ITB are fitted, and see how it goes , if its any good ill be using it for 4-5 more years . And carry on using the good old trusty 306 td as my daily

Mine will be a keeper and my every day car to my AE86 when I get it :)

That way, If I decide to take the head off it, re cam it and go forged, then I still have a car to get me to work on monday :)

plus the fact you have a much better renaultsport than both the 250 and 200 in your garage ;)
(apart from the dodgy colour) :p

Well I've only had mine for a few months so it's to early to say how long I'll keep it.
Must admit it's good fun though and at the moment that's all that counts.
