You have to hit a balance, my wife knew what I was like before properly going out with me (long before marriage), not going to change that no matter what, she realised that an let's me get on with it.

Is there any hobbies that you do that you could try and get her interested or involved in? If not then sit her down and try to explain to her the reasons why you need to work so much.

It helps alot if we understand what and why you do things. I now help out with the car, stickers and even tried learning how to build a website.
